Historia
Being on the murder squad is nothing like Detective Antoinette Conway dreamed it would be. Her partner, Stephen Moran, is the only person who seems glad she's there. The rest of her working life is a stream of thankless cases, vicious pranks, and harassment. Antoinette is savagely tough, but she's getting close to the breaking point. Their new case looks like yet another by-the-numbers lovers' quarrel gone bad. Aislinn Murray is blond, pretty, groomed to a shine, and dead in her catalogue-perfect living room, next to a table set for a romantic dinner.

Suspense, character development, and proper police procedure narrated with a fabulous voice- I couldn’t ask for more. The hours of listening just flew by. Made me want to go back and re-listen to French’s previous novels.

Fastastic continuation of an amazing series!
Revisado: 12-20-12
Would you consider the audio edition of A Storm of Swords to be better than the print version?
Yes because Roy Dotrice is an AMAZING narrator. I would go through my workday with his words echoing in my brain. I could not wait to continue and was sad when it was over.
What about Roy Dotrice’s performance did you like?
Perfect narrator- a multitude of characters, all with different voices, his "neutral" voice is very strong and most pleasant.
Any additional comments?
Strongly recommend it.

Historia
In a case that spans 20 years, Harry Bosch links the bullet from a recent crime to a file from 1992, the killing of a young female photographer during the L.A. riots. Harry originally investigated the murder, but it was then handed off to the Riot Crimes Task Force and never solved. Now Bosch's ballistics match indicates that her death was not random violence, but something more personal, and connected to a deeper intrigue. Like an investigator combing through the wreckage after a plane crash, Bosch searches for the "black box", the one piece of evidence that will pull the case together.

Fair Bosch Story, new narrator's not so bad!
Revisado: 12-20-12
What did you like best about The Black Box? What did you like least?
As a Bosch fan, I always enjoy Harry Bosch and supporting characters. But in this book he is operating more on his own, and there wasn't enough of the relationships- Hannah, Maddie and his partner very all superficial.
If you’ve listened to books by Michael Connelly before, how does this one compare?
A little less than average.
Did the narration match the pace of the story?
Yes, the new narrator was fine.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Yes.
Any additional comments?
If you are a real Bosch fan get it, but it's not the best in the series.

Historia
Winter is coming. Such is the stern motto of House Stark, the northernmost of the fiefdoms that owe allegiance to King Robert Baratheon in far-off King's Landing. There Eddard Stark of Winterfell rules in Robert's name. Far to the north, behind the towering Wall, lie savage Wildings and worse - unnatural things relegated to myth during the centuries-long summer, but proving all too real and all too deadly in the turning of the season. Yet a more immediate threat lurks to the south, where Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, has died under mysterious circumstances....

An exciting book, very well narrated.
Revisado: 09-03-12
Would you consider the audio edition of A Game of Thrones to be better than the print version?
Yes, the narrator uses such a wide variety of voices, it is very exciting and easy to distinguish the characters. I do with there was a way to see a map at times for the battle plans.
What did you like best about this story?
All of the different points of view as it transitioned to all the different kingdoms.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Well, it is about 33 hours long, but I was shocked at how it flew by!
Any additional comments?
I read it after seeing the series, and I have to say the book was better!
