Historia
Dirt, soil, call it what you want, it's everywhere we go. It is the root of our existence, supporting our feet, our farms, our cities. This fascinating yet disquieting book finds, however, that we are running out of dirt, and it's no laughing matter. An engaging natural and cultural history of soil that sweeps from ancient civilizations to modern times, Dirt: The Erosion of Civilizations explores the compelling idea that we are, and have long been, using up Earth's soil. Once bare of protective vegetation and exposed to wind and rain, cultivated soils erode bit by bit, slowly enough to be ignored in a single lifetime but fast enough over centuries to limit the lifespan of civilizations.

Historia
From the "Trail of Tears" to Wounded Knee and Little Bighorn, the narrative of American history is incomplete without the inclusion of the Native Americans that lived on the continent before European settlers arrived in the 16th and 17th centuries. Since the first contact between natives and settlers, tribes like the Sioux, Cherokee, and Navajo have both fascinated and perplexed outsiders with their history, language, and culture.

could not listen
Revisado: 01-12-21
I could not finish... the narration is horrible. I was excited for some history on this great people, but I could not listen to the robotic monotone narrator. It was really disappointing.

Historia
The legendary American outdoor writer’s finest collection. For decades, Gene Hill’s articles and books have captured the spirit of the outdoors in a way that inspires and entertains millions of readers. A Hunter’s Fireside Book captures the essence of the life of a sportsman and explores the full spectrum of the hunter’s experience: sunrises in the duck blind, an unforgettable hunter’s moon, the camaraderie of men who know the pleasures of being wet and cold and a little bit lost.

Disappointing
Revisado: 09-10-20
If you think lying to and sneaking around your spouse is funny. If you believe you're wife or any woman is a ditz and only interested in fashion and house keeping and making you lunch. If you don't actually to hunt, but are really interested in the idea of and pretending like you hunt in the presence of others. Finally, if you are under the illusion that trap shooting is hunting. Then you will enjoy this book a hell of a lot more than I did.
