A great summer read. A fun and somewhat unpredictable story of love, loyalty and revenge. Women of a certain age banded together to fight for justice.

If you are new to the Hello 7 world start here. I’ve enjoyed all her books (this is my 3rd, and it was the most practical for the stage I’m currently navigating). There are at least 1 or 2 of these habits you already have some experience with. It’s easy to build from those habits. This book offers a process that’s inspiring and where everyone can start!

Just what I needed
Revisado: 09-03-24
I’ve had a love - hate relationship with the western commercial yoga practice, and this book really helped me fall in love with my practice and to explore new resources to craft a routine that works for me. I felt seen and heard through the pages of this book. Would recommend it for those who have experienced discomfort or disillusionment in your local yoga practice.

Lots of fun
Revisado: 08-03-24
A cute story about the power of friendship. Despite a slow start, the book picks up quickly with lovable characters and schemes once Jenn gets engaged. I thought the end wrapped up too quickly and some details left me unsatisfied. I would recommend this title for those who want a reminders of the many ways women can support each other as we age..

Nuggets of wisdom for life
Revisado: 06-09-24
I found the voice of the narrator very soothing. I listened to this book as I did chores, and although there were some parts that were more technical than useful for my purposes. In general, the context provided a great understanding of the French culture and I am excited to visit the country and see how the knowledge I gained resonates with reality. For those who are in a season to re-create or update their homes, this book contains lots of simple and complicated ideas to bring French practices cultural practices into your space. What I most appreciated about the book is how it encouraged me to translate these tips into a lifestyle that embraces beauty and function and history.

Such a fun narration
Revisado: 12-08-23
I really enjoyed the main characters and the various adventures they went on to find Love and romance. As a soon to be silver single I find these types of stories encouraging and this one kept me laughing. I thought the ending a bit too contrived and disappointing, but I suppose she had to end up in a traditional way.

Historia
Today's feminist movement has a glaring blind spot, and paradoxically, it is women. Mainstream feminists rarely talk about meeting basic needs as a feminist issue, argues Mikki Kendall, but food insecurity, access to quality education, safe neighborhoods, a living wage, and medical care are all feminist issues. All too often, however, the focus is not on basic survival for the many, but on increasing privilege for the few. Author Mikki Kendall takes aim at the legitimacy of the modern feminist movement arguing that it has chronically failed to address the needs of all but a few women.

Historia
When Christine Platt set out on her journey to live with less, she never intended to become The Afrominimalist. She just wanted to tame the chaos in her closet! But after struggling with the austerity and whiteness of mainstream minimalism, Christine realized why minimalism often seems unattainable for so many: the emphasis on all-white, barren aesthetics distracts from the practice of living with intention. And so, she decided to do things her way by curating a life of less influenced by the African diaspora.

A book for our time
Revisado: 02-27-22
This book really inspired me to reevaluate my choices as a consumer. Almost immediately I found myself looking at the stuff in my home differently. So grateful for this movement and will definitely read this book again and again. It’s a true treasure for the soul. If you care about this generation or the next, this will help you start the process of living with less so you can live more fully!
