This book is like one of those wordy, rambling, fluffy college papers. The author paraphrases other people's ideas. No original content.

In fact, I'm pretty sure AI wrote it.

If you have read the most basic business books, you will have heard all of what's in this book.

Wait, no. You don't need to read ANY books to know everything in this book. You just need to have made past age 5.

It's so bad I gave up 60% of the way through. I wasted every minute of my time.

The warning signal, there's no backstory of accomplishments of the author. Not 1 sentence started with "We did this at XYZ company and it worked." The author has never practiced anything he wrote about. He's not in a position to be an expert on the subject. It's purely regurgitated academia.

If you are completely clueless about how to interact with people or moved here from another planet, maybe you could grab 1 nugget of information.

Everyone else should and will dislike this book as much as I do. One of the worst business books of all time.

I've read over 100 books about business and this is squarely in the top 5.

If for no other reason, because I adopted it and changed my behavior. I actually adopted it and fiercely integrated it into my day-to-day.

I'm a driven top performing sales rep. I have a good system in place that I've been fine tuning for decades.

My company send our new reps to spend days with me to learn my system as a model.

12 Week Year Challenged me to rethink how I structured my week.

I gave it a shot and was immediately involigorated.

Work took on so much more meaning. I'm more motivated, push myself harder and squeeze everything out of every day.

Better yet, I stress less than before because I have specific allocations for when I'm going to get my admin work done.

I owe a great deal to 12 Week Year. I'm so glad I came across this book. I can't wait to see the long-term effect.

My dad recommended this book after he bounced from a heart valve replacement surgery at 81.

They weren't sure if someone at his age should have the surgery at all because it's so stressful on his heart.

He was out of the hospital and done with occupational therapy weeks ahead of schedule.

The docs couldn't believe what great shape he is in. He's on zero medication. His cholesterol is low. BMI is a healthy 22, and blood pressure perfectly fine.

The doctors and nurses asked him for his secret. He said he followed Younger Next Year. He read it over a decade ago. He's living proof that it works.

My dad is fit, sharp as a tack, has a positive attitude, and looks 1-2 decades younger than any of his peers.

My dad still plays softball, lifts weights, and goes for runs where he sprints, yes all out sprints, for some of it.

He said he owes much of it to this book.

I can't believe he didn't tell me about YNY earlier.

I'll be honest, death scares me. Becoming terminally ill scares me. I think about it more as I get older.

Now I feel I have a playbook to follow to keep old age at bay.

Since I read this book, I've been at the gym 6-5 times per week. I feel and look better than I have in years. Most importantly, I'm IMPLEMENTING what I learned. Its in the back of my head all the time.

I'm big in self improvement. I'm a ferocious reader on health, and career related books. I put YNY in the top 3 of all time.

Ugh, that was exhausting because this book is continually wrong.

This whole book feels like clickbait. Trying to get a rise out of people by tapping into fear.

I found myself constantly shaking my head saying, "No, that's not true." He should know better, so I suspect he's lying or exaggerating to sell books.

For example, he makes claims the Earth's population will collapse because birthrates are going down. Begs the question, why would society collapse because of a steady population decrease as a result of an increase in the standard of living? Where throughout history is there a connection between a rise in birth rate AND a rise in standard of living? What would he prefer? Constant population growth? Doesn't that come with its own set of problems? Or are we exactly at the correct population, and if it goes up or down the world will collapse? Why would falling birth rates dismantle the real reason why humans have experienced such a surge in standard of living (technology, Capitalism)?

Or his claim that world trade is held together by the US Navy. What about the centuries before WWII where ships traveled all over the world peacefully trading without the protection of an aircraft carrier?

I could go on and on throughout the entire book.

Ironically, he said he doesn't like to talk about things that have never happened, but then goes on to predict all this theoretical nonsense, none of which has, or ever will happen.

Do you want a real window into the future, pick up the book, The Rational Optimist.

Use your head. Think critically. Don't fall for the doomsday clickbait. It's not true and it's not worth your time.

Starting with no, and working from there, giving your prospect every opportunity to say no is disarming. By pulling back, it has the opposite effect of trying to convince someone of something.

I've implemented a few tips in this book with good results so far. it feels more natural than I thought.

I'm excited to relisten to it to deploy more of what I learned.

this is definitely a book you have to read again to capture everything.

This is an awesome playbook if you're getting into the business of online sales of physical products. thankfully, I am so I find it profoundly helpful.

I have started and failed at my first business. I wish I would have read this book. It would have had a huge impact.

There are so many good messages in this book, but they all center around one theme; it's all about people. Focus like mad on the people buying the product and don't get so wrapped up in all the other noise.

If you're starting a service business like an auto garage or a restaurant, I don't think this will be helpful to you. So be aware the message is for a specific type of business.

I've read other books on nutrition and countless articles. I thought I was pretty well informed.

Eat to Live opened my eyes and changed my behavior more than everything I've learned combined.

I'm 40 years old and in good shape and health. But I don't want to wait for my first heart attack before I start taking care of my body.

I started applying these principals and had some unexpected results.

1. I feel 20 years younger. I have much more energy to keep up with my kids. It's so much fun.

2. My body is more chiseled. I was 6'1" 175 lbs. Not bad. In 2 weeks, I lost 10 lbs and don't have as much of a dad bod.

3. I used to have a chronic cough from an incessant tickle in the back of my throat. Gone.

4. I used to get really bad razor burn and my neck would break out. Gone.

5. My taste buds came alive. Everything tastes incredible.

I'll confess, it's not easy eating this much produce. My grocery bill has doubled.

I also find myself full, but not satisfied often.

Eat To Live is a powerful education in nutrition, and the life threatening affects of negligence. This book will probably add 10 years to my life.

I finished the book and immediately thought to myself, "I can't think of one thing from this book that I'm going to apply... As a matter of fact, I can't remember a single message in this book."

After hours of listening to this entire book, I can't even tell you what it's about.

I listen to audiobooks in my car, where I give my undivided attention. I think it was the lousy, overly cheesy narration (98% of authors should NOT narrate their own books, this is one). I had such a hard time taking this guy seriously, the message didn't stick. Like, at all.

All I know is the author sounds annoying.

It would also help to know his background. I prefer learning from people who have been there, and been wildly successful. Maybe Hyatt is, but I just don't know.

I'm going to have my best year ever, but it will have nothing to do with this book.

I'm a top performing new business sales rep. Been at it for a long time. I'm constantly looking to pick up ideas to improve.

I read close to 20 sales books a year.

But this book had my head spinning.

There were so many times when I thought, "Damn, that's a good idea. Never thought of that."

Most books don't see actual implementation. I forget and it's business as usual.

But the ideas I employed from this book have worked. They are fun to use and resonate.

I loved every second of this book.

Like I'm hanging out with Weinberg

I love this book so much, I've listened to it multiple times.

I come back to it whenever I need a kick in the pants.

There's something about the raw nature about Mike Weinberg's approach that really resonates with me. His writing is conversational. It's like I'm hanging out with him instead of listening to a book.

He's clearly been in the trenches. He doesn't sugarcoat things. And he sticks like hell to his guns, sales fundamentals.

I love his point about clearing corporate crap out of the way of the sales leader, and their team. Makes sure reps are always working the right accounts and advancing the ball forward.

The kicker, I'm not a sales manager. I'm just a motivated rep, and I still love this book.
