Historia
Challenging leading scientific theories that claim that our senses report back objective reality, cognitive scientist Donald Hoffman argues that while we should take our perceptions seriously, we should not take them literally. How can it be possible that the world we see is not objective reality? And how can our senses be useful if they are not communicating the truth? Hoffman grapples with these questions and more over the course of this eye-opening work.

A curiously engaging read.

Conscious agents make a lot of sense. The deeper you ponder, the more comprehensive the theory becomes; from psychology to gravity.

Historia
Scott Billings has a pretty good life, or so it appears. But something is missing for him. Like many others, he finds himself just going through the motions, sleepwalking through life, until an unexpected and unique encounter with a street beggar allows him to see the possibility of a new reality; a dream world that is more real than anything he's ever experienced. Based on the true story of the author's transformational journey, Uncovering the Life of Your Dreams takes you on a journey of your own toward a more enlightened life filled with abundance, joy, and absolute freedom.

Factual, Evidence-based Summary of NDEs
Revisado: 12-17-22
Well written and produced, After provides perhaps the most comprehensive summary of 50 years worth of research on NDEs. It is difficult for the reader to complete this work and not be significantly affected by the stories, data and opinions of the author, who's meticulous scientific methods present irrefutable evidence that death is not the end of our consciousness. After provides hope for humanity in the sense that though we may not have all the answers, we have eye-opening reasons to further explore and understand NDEs.

Brooke Nolan is a battered child who makes an anonymous phone call about the escalating brutality in her home. When social services jeopardize her safety, condemning her to keep her father's secret, it's a glass of spilled milk at the dinner table that forces her to speak about the cruelty she's been hiding. In her pursuit of safety and justice, Brooke battles a broken system that pushes to keep her father in the home.

Powerful and Meaningful.
Revisado: 08-06-21
Kudos to the author for her two-fold bravery, both living and telling her story. Sadly, a story which occurs much more than is told. Appropriately detailed, she reveals with a judicious balance of emotion and fact. Narration and production are tops.

Historia
What is consciousness? Why are we here? Where did it all come from - the laws of nature, the stars, the universe? Humans have been asking these questions forever, but science hasn't succeeded in providing many answers - until now. In The Grand Biocentric Design, Robert Lanza, one of Time magazine's "100 Most Influential People", is joined by theoretical physicist Matej Pavšic and astronomer Bob Berman to shed light on the big picture that has long eluded philosophers and scientists alike.

Provocative and Revelational
Revisado: 03-13-21
The necessity to include observational conscious awareness into the scientific method is convincingly argued throughout this book. Historically science has, and with good reason, hesitated to reform foundational critical thinking without due cause and evidentiary facts. The concepts of Biocentric theory outlined in this book convincingly postulate we need to take a much needed hard look at the reality we observe, and ultimatley create. The writing is clear and understandable to most well-educated readers. However, Biocentric theory should be distilled into more palatable passages for the average "joe" on the street to comprehend in order to make more people aware of truths they may already inherently know to be real.
