I find it hard to believe Brad Lee wrote this book! It reads like a high school short story. I could not even get halfway through. Sorry Brad… I love your work but if it was possible to un-publish I would have strongly suggested to do that. Harsh I know but, this is just awful. The flowery descriptions and overly exaggerated thought processes of the protagonist is nauseating.

The narrator reads like a middle school student who is trying to figure out what the storyline is. It totally put me off the three books in this series. I could hardly stand 45min of it. Get the man some training PLEASE! I WANT MY MONEY BACK !

Everything about this book is so terrible I just can’t believe that it was published. Couldn’t tolerate past chapter 4 listening or high speed.

The author reading the books makes it a very special experience. His incredible ability to mimic various accents including the flawless Japanese pronunciations add a natural depth that makes it very difficult to listen to other narrations. The consistency of the voices and accent makes you forget that this is fiction. After 5 books immediately after each other, the authors voice became such a natural part of the story that it felt as if I was reading the book myself. I am in love with Rain and would not mind having someone like him as a friend.
