An amazing story that I know would touch so many women who faced the same disappointments in life as Halo. I am upset it took me so long to listen to this authors books. They are all so deep and touching but this story is everything!

Awesome series with a different vibe

It was really hard for me to get in this series because it started off kind of hard to keep up with. Once I got comfortable into the storyline in each book, they were each an amazing read with interesting storylines that kept me wanting to read more

I live in Charleston so when I listened to my first Mel Dau book I was intrigued. They don’t miss. This was an amazing love story that had the right enough of action to stay listening. Great author.

I didn’t like the plot

I wasn’t feeling the predictable the plot twist with Lennon and Wah. The way he shared his marital business and disrespected his wife had me appalled that it was the typical friendship gone wrong. I didn’t like Lennons character and her denial of preying on another woman’s marriage. Then Star was no better. Both siblings had the desperate woman syndrome and I wasn’t feeling it. Then the way they all judged other peoples relationships was a time. I wasn’t able to make it to part 2.

I didn’t like the storylines for any of the characters and felt like the book was all over the place. One of the top 5 of my worse books. It was also way overpriced. Meech sleeping with Sidney’s mom. Sidney sleeping with Meechs cousin. Mooski girlfriend’s naivety was annoying. I wanted to know more but it wasn’t that good to buy the next one

The Carlton series was a great read

The entire series was great. I went through the books in 2 days. Listening to each Carlton overcome their past was great! I was so glad no one came out too scared to turn back.

I enjoyed both books. Great reads. The first book of the series was a bit far fetched but I suppose there are some women willing to do anything at all to keep a man. Great reads.

Very interesting read

As a Charleston Native, the places took me by surprise as well as the relatable occurrences in this book. I have dealt with someone that had very similar traits to Truth and had I not gotten out, some of the events could have been my future. So many men are in love with the woman and not necessarily the children made from the love story because they ultimately don’t know what love is and so many young women confuse love with lust at first sight.
