Most of these books are 5+ stars, I like most characters, especially the 2 MCs and Runt. But, and it is a very big but, I consider shifters to be bestialty, and sick as all hell, and this has a lot of shifters.

Saved by good narration

An interesting but not very well written plot, predictable, 2D characters, should have had a few more beta readers and a proper editor. But the narration was good, some weird accents that didn’t match where the character was from, nevertheless, I had no trouble telling people apart and he did well overall.

The narration part is great, the voices less so.
Ruth has always been my favourite dragon, but in this he just sounds like an old man, and there’s nothing to let us know when he, or the other dragons, talk with their riders, it sounds like all the other conversations in here. Ruins the narration for me

I enjoyed the stories, but I didn’t love any of them, not keen on Joel Leslie, the voice of Kale Williams is much more my thing.

Based on stories though, these are my ratings.

Lights, Camera, Murder. 3 stars.
Twelve Seconds. 2.5 stars.
Blind Man's Buff. 2.5 stars.
A Country for Old Men. 3 stars.
Reality Bites. 3 stars.

Pretty Good.

Review is for the whole series.
Overall I enjoyed this series, but the narration was a bit flat, it could have been worse, I could at least tell the genders apart...
The reason I only give the books 3 stars is because I don’t really like Fix all that much, the plot was however quite intriguing, so I happilly plodded along until the end.
I recommend the books, but I would suggest getting another format.

I adore Joan Hickson as Miss Marple, but sadly not as a narrator, as all the characters just sounded like Miss Marple, even the men. Didn’t finish that story due to being confused about who was who.
Book two, an Hercule Poirot, was however quite good and well narrated. And one I had somehow never read before.
Rating is solely for the Poirot story.

Insanely predictable.

While predictable, the story is not bad, neither is the narration, but the recording is, there’s a constant white noice like on old recordings, before the digital age, really annoying.
I liked the three siblings a lot, they were great together, but I didn’t really care about anyone else.
The story has three POVs, the two MCs and the unnamed bad person, once you hear that one though, you know who it is, not even the attempt of a red herring at the end will leave you with any doubts.

Much better narration than book one

I didn’t finish book one due to a really bad narration edits, but was able to follow the plot, and magic, in this just fine, and I still felt like I knew the MCs quite well at the end.
Will get the ebook version of book one someday.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Yes, but the ebook, the sound was awful.

How could the performance have been better?

Another narrator, I could hear him swallow, smacking his lips and various other background noices, it was just plain bad.

Do you think Death by Silver needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

There is a sequel, and I think a novella on the way. Yay, love the guys.
Book 2 is also in audio, but with a different narrator, I might try that, once I have a fresh batch of credits.
