Historia
Evelyn Taylor-Clarke sits in her chair at Forest Lawns Care Home in the heart of the English countryside, surrounded by residents with minds not as sharp as hers. It would be easy to dismiss Evelyn as a muddled old woman, but her lipstick is applied perfectly and her buttons done up correctly. Because, Evelyn is a woman with secrets, and Evelyn remembers everything. She can never forget the promise she made to the love of her life to discover the truth about the mission that led to his death, no matter what it cost her.

Good story
Revisado: 03-20-23
I liked the story and found the protagonist interesting so I read to the end. However, I thought the book was preachy in spots an sometimes dragged.

Historia
Every woman’s secret weapon is her little black dress, but for fashion model-turned covert agent, Evan Tyler, her weaponized wardrobe makes her absolutely deadly. Infiltrating the Paris couture scene, Tyler and her team level their sights on Anton Hrevic, a rising star designer who, along with his muse-models, seems intent on espionage and world manipulation.

Nancy Drew Would be so Jealous

of the Little Black Dress.Evan Tyler is part tough-as-nails CIA agent, part femme fatale, and part girl next door. Kim Black does a wonderful job of weaving the three personas into a heroine for our time. Little Black Dress (I won't tell you all its secrets and spoil the fun of reading about it) is a wonderful diversion from humdrum. My only complaint was that the ending dragged a bit, but by then, I was so hooked, I didn't really care. So glad this a part of a series.
