the worst Georgette book
Revisado: 10-30-20
I have to say there was very little to this story and it dragged on and on. very boring and one note through out I waited to see if the ending was going to be a little better, but it wasn't. it was the same darn note! I am otherwise a like Georgette Heyer books, some a very much, this one is even worse that The Masqueraders and Why shoot a Butler put together.

Historia
Dorothea Brooke is an ardent idealist who represses her vivacity and intelligence for the cold, theological pedant Casaubon. One man understands her true nature: the artist Will Ladislaw. But how can love triumph against her sense of duty and Casaubon’s mean spirit? Meanwhile, in the little world of Middlemarch, the broader world is mirrored: the world of politics, social change, and reforms, as well as betrayal, greed, blackmail, ambition, and disappointment.

Historia
Samantha McDonough cannot believe her eyes - or her luck. Tucked in an uncut page of a 200-year-old poetry book is a letter she believes was written by Jane Austen, mentioning with regret a manuscript that "went missing at Greenbriar in Devonshire". Could there really be an undiscovered Jane Austen novel waiting to be found? Could anyone resist the temptation to go looking for it?

Good Book, not very convincing, miss
Revisado: 01-01-19
The story was very interesting and I got hooked right away. The way the author describes her story is very similar to how she describes things in the Austen manuscript. The only thing similar to Austen is some quotes that she takes from every book and some of the context is not.. well I can forgive that it is just a spin off. I liked the book over all and very interesting read.
Now the performer of this book either is not British or knows nothing about music because there was a constant miss-pronounciation of words. The most relevant and that appeared over and over again was 'Piano Forte'. Please lady, for next time, it is Pea-ah-noh For-teh. Not piano fort. The accent/enfasis is in the 'for' in forte, but you can really accent it where ever you want. My gosh, that was painful.
Other than that, her accents were nice and the way she did the voices was ok too. I will give her more stars now than I anticipated. I started with 2, but since it is not all her fault about the ponunciation since anyone in the editing of this audiobook could have told her, I will give her ... nope. 2 stars is what all the performance for me warrants. I'm sorry, good try though.

Revisado: 08-31-18
I loved listening to this story. It was so true to children's mistakes and thoughts. I was crying and laughing and cross. I only would have liked the story to be longer. I will be researching this author and see what else I can listen/read from her.

light hearted and very enjoyable. I fell in love with this auther and this book. Having already read "Venetia", I will venture to read all her works and other romance novels of this sort. I am hooked! Of course, I will go back and read my favourite Jane Austen novels now too.

Natasha: I’m a girl who believes in science and facts. Not fate. Not destiny. Or dreams that will never come true. I’m definitely not the kind of girl who meets a cute boy on a crowded New York City street and falls in love with him. Not when my family is 12 hours away from being deported to Jamaica. Falling in love with him won’t be my story. Daniel: I’ve always been the good son, the good student, living up to my parents’ high expectations. Never the poet. Or the dreamer. But when I see her, I forget about all that.

intreating plot and story, but it's slow and drawn out. I really wanted to know what was going to happen to the main character. But little by little I stopped caring and now I am unable to finish this book. I will just skip to the end and hopefully it is not too drawn out too.
