There was nothing not to enjoy about book or series. Love/hate characters, suspense and resolution. I will continue to enjoy the remaining Chance Meridian series. Thank you for very good entertainment!

GREAT LISTEN!

This book, though predictable, kept the listener interested from beginning to end. Good character development and likable and unlikable characters which is getting more rare these days it seems to me. I find myself listening to more and more books as of late to find them filled with only unlikable characters. Thank you for an enjoyable few hours.

Excellent read!

Such a refreshing book! The author did a wonderful job engaging the reader with each character. It was so refreshing to listen to a book where the author did not feel the need to have a token character of every identity (no husband with a husband, no wife with a wife. Not one character with an identity/gender crisis. Not one character having to explain to the reader how woke the author is by letting it be known that the main character doesn’t believe in God and alas, not one hint of a Trump derangement syndrome disturbing a character’s soul! JUST A WELL WRITTEN EXCELLENT READ THAT KEEPS THE READER ENGAGED THROUGHOUT. Thank you!

Need to improve vocabulary

Take out the fu-words save an hour. Authors need to realize this is such an overused word it is annoying. Also so many authors now have to make sure we readers know they do not believe in God and just in case we are too dumb to get their wokeness they apparently feel compelled to fill in any misconception with appropriate amounts of blasphemy that adds nothing to the read. Just my opinion.

Very entertaining total 5 stars. One may not like most of the characters but it definitely was an entertaining mystery and to me that is what it is all about.

Simply entertaining

Everything I want from a book. I listen to be entertained and I was. Characters were developed adequately and there was a moral which is sometimes lost with today’s ever political authors. Every last one of us have good and bad in us but it is how weak or how strong we are within as to how we cope. Some overcome and sometimes try as we might we can’t always overcome. The characters grew and found themselves and in some cases weakness was overcome and others it was not and that is life but a good storyline. Totally enjoyable

Very informative, unfortunately the people who need to be informed have already made up their minds that no corruption now matters. This is a sad book about a sad family.

An excellent mystery, simply enjoyable

I do at least 3 books weekly. I rarely write reviews unless the author really upsets me because I know these books are the author’s sweat and hard work. I am mindful of this and most books are enjoyable to some degree. Rarely is one so terrible I feel the need to bash the the author. I have read all of Kate White’s mysteries and found each one enjoyable- one thing I appreciate about her mysteries is that she writes without showing me her politics, without having to explain to her readers how she is or isn’t religious by making her characters tell the story and doesn’t bore me to death by trying to make me understand how “WOKE” she is by her characters. I am not sure what some of the reviewers who have given bad reviews want from a simple mystery. In my opinion, Kate White delivers a solid and interesting mystery each time.
