Intriguing PNR! Fabulous Story & Narration🎧
Revisado: 04-23-25
This is my first Alba Lockwood book, an intriguing paranormal romance that grabbed my attention immediately and captivated it the entire time. The story is unique and original, having a witch’s familiar as a lead character, a complex character with depth and then introduces us to other characters that are just as complex and fascinating, too. Winnie, a witch, has a cat as her familiar, Clawdia, who often visits their neighbor Charlie, who works from home. When other supernatural beings show up, it is Charlie who tries to help him, since finding things is his job and they do not need to search far to find what they are looking for, Zaide’s fated mate. But all goes haywire when his travel mate gets abducted and the witches steal his fire. Clawdia suspected Winnie and her girlfriend were working on something secretive and after witnessing what they could do, she knew it was not anything good. The story follows them, trying to save their friend and get his fire back, and they need to find what the witches have planned and track them down. We also get glimpses into Clawdia’s past, showing who she was before and how she became a witch’s familiar. There is never a dull moment in this intriguing and cleverly plotted story, a multi-layered story that has the perfect balance of drama, angst, humor, action, twists and turns, heartfelt emotions and a slow burn romance. The world building and character development are fantastic. Alba Lockwood, thank you for the fascinating story and wild ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous audiobook production, excellent casting and voice acting performed by Olivia Rhoades, James Davey and Isaac Epinal who were amazing in their roles. They were spot on with their portrayal of the characters, giving each a voice that was fitting to their character’s personality and was believable in every role. Setting the perfect tone for the story, they captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These three made a great team, with voices and talent that complemented each other and a performance that takes the already wonderful story to another level. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to.

Awesome Story & Narration🎧 Riveting & Emotional!
Revisado: 04-21-25
It is great to be back in Julia Connors’ “Boston Rebels” world for another fabulous sports romance, an enemies-to-lovers, single dad, workplace romance. He, Ronan McCabe, is the hockey player and team captain of the Boston Rebels, and she, Alessandra “AJ” Jones, the team’s general manager and the first woman to hold that position. These two have history, drama that happened earlier in their careers and the reason there is animosity, mostly coming from Ronan, between them. Ronin is a single dad of an infant daughter, Abby, and he his new nanny is not really working out, and it is impeding with his work schedule, not gets my the team’s manager and she had something to say about his tardiness. She is a reasonable boss and everyone is happy to work for her, well not exactly Ronin, but he knows she is a fair boss. These two were like oil and vinegar, but she comes through when he needs help with his daughter and he is grateful for that. It was great to watch these two go at it, and then to learn what happened in the past that caused his animosity. And then the turning point, where that angst turned to passion, fiery passion that was smoking hot. I loved all the layers of this wonderfully plotted story, and how it all plays out with plenty of drama, angst, some charming and heartwarming moments, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. Julia Connors, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 Angelina Rocca and Sebastian York were the perfect cast to bring these characters to life, humanizing them with voices that were fitting and were believable. Rocca was a natural in A.J.’s role, grasping every aspect of her personality, from her vulnerabilities to her fierceness as the boss lady to her strength and determination, as well as her passion and caring side. York was just as amazing in as McCabe, also a natural in that role, showcasing his all sides of his personality too, his angst, passion and his caring and sweet side, with his daughter. These two made a great team, with voices that complemented each other and a riveting performance that is entertaining and keeps you in the story the entire time.

I’m a survivor. A fighter down to my blood. I need the release that comes when I step in that octagon, I crave it. I spent too long being beat down and broken in every sense of the word, and I almost didn’t make it. Fighting saved me though, and then I saved myself. When I am offered a full ride scholarship to a college in the middle of nowhere Alabama over 2000 miles away, I grab the chance with both hands and run like hell.

Amazing Story & Narration🎧Compelling & Heartfelt!
Revisado: 04-18-25
Katelyn Taylor pens another amazing novel, an original MMA sports romance with interesting storylines that captivates your attention and tugs at your heartstrings the entire time. The two lead characters, Aubrey Davis and Dax Hart, are the stars of this story, broken souls from hardships and tragedies in their past and the two connect like no other. One of my favorite lines, which is so fitting, is “his broken jagged pieces are a mirror image of mine”, because they understood each other, but were they meant for each other? It was great to watch these two go back-and-forth, with plenty of push-and-pull, until they got their acts together. Hearing their backstories was heartbreaking, especially Aubrey’s, when she finally opens up and shares, but she came out of it and is absolutely amazing for it. Besides the two lead characters there were several side and secondary characters, with Kayla and Cole two of my favorites, both also playing meaningful parts in Aubrey’s new life in Alabama. The complexity of the characters is brilliant, and I loved all the layers of this story and how it all played out, with plenty of drama, angst, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. The writing, plot and world building are phenomenal, as are the character growth and development. Katelyn Taylor, thank you for another amazing novel and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 Michelle Sparks and Tor Thom did a fantastic job voicing these characters and delivering a perfect portrayal of each. I loved how they made each role their own, sounding believable and just as I imagine the characters would sound. Both were impressive as the two leads, grasping every aspect of their character’s personality and their every emotion. Tor Thom’s Dax was perfection, from his angsty arrogance and alpha side to his vulnerabilities and caring side. Michelle Sparks was just as fantastic in Aubrey’s role, showcasing her fierceness, strength and determination, as well as her insecurities. They were fantastic performing the roles of the side/secondary characters too. These two made a great narration team, with voices and talent that complement each other and a performance that is both entertaining and enthralling, keeping you riveted to the story.

From the time I was a little boy, sleeping with my head on a football, I’ve had one goal: carrying on the Bradford-family legacy. Our famous father trained all my older brothers and me to be star athletes just like him, but seven years later, I’m the only one still focused on the game. Until Raven Gale storms into my life. She’s smart, sassy, curves for days, and lightning in the sack. When I met her at my little sister’s wedding we bonded immediately over our dedication to our dreams, our determination to let nothing stop us, and our insatiable, all-night, barrier-busting chemistry.

Revisado: 04-15-25
You can not help but love these Bradford boys and girl! Tia Louise puts her own unique spin on the marriage-of-convenience trope in the fabulous sports romance, a story that captivates your attention and tugs at your heartstrings from start to end. The Bradford boys and girl are going down, one at a time, and this fourth book is Hendrix’s, the last of the brothers still playing professional sports and his sister’s friend Raven Gale‘s story. The two met at his sister’s wedding and they hit it off and spent the night together, a smoking hot and memorable night. Raven had life plans, going against her controlling mother and a father who never went to bat for her, choosing to pursue a career in meteorology, to become a weather girl, instead of joining the family business. Her plans had to be put on hold because of an unexpected pregnancy and birth of her daughter, Haddy. Hendrix openly admitted his love and sole focus was football, and did not have time for romantic involvements and relationships; but struggling financially, she avoids asking her father for help and instead forms a plan which depends on Hendrix’s cooperation. Hendrix already returned to California to prep for the new football season, but gets the call from his family to return home and as soon as he arrives, he sees why he needed to come home, just by looking into the baby’s eyes. After hearing Raven out, he agrees to her plan and that it would be a temporary arrangement, so she and Haddy go to California with him. It was great to watch this all play out and learn more about both of them, then see their relationship morph into something so much more. He was amazing with his girls, not so much with doing cleanups, which made for some hilarious scenes, but overall he was super protective of them both. I loved all the layers of this story and how it all played out, with the perfect balance of drama, some angst, humor and witty dialogue, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. As always, the writing, plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. Tia Louise, thank you for another fabulous story, the laughs and the emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 Aaron Shedlock’s and Stefanie Kay’s duet performance is a treat for the ears and the brain, a captivating performance that keeps you glued to the story. Their portrayal of each character was spot on and I loved how they owned their roles, especially their take of the two leads, showcasing every aspect of their personalities and demeanor perfectly. Shedlock nailed it as Hen, from his diehard dedication to his sport to his protective caring side with his sudden family, and he did not lack humor, snark or quick thinking, snorkel and all. Kay was just as fabulous as Raven, brought out all her traits, from her insecurities, to the strength and determination. They set the right tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and how you feeling them all. These two made a great team, with voices and talent that complemented each other and a performance that takes the already amazing story to another level. Thanks for another wonderful listen!

Terrific Story & Narration🎧Gripping & Heartfelt!
Revisado: 04-12-25
Lacey Black pens another fabulous novel set in her “Burgers & Brew Crue” series and it is great to be back in the wonderful world she created and spend time with the equally wonderful characters. Burgers & Brew is a bar restaurant owned and operated by a group of four friends, and they plan on opening a brewery next door, so it is an expanding business. Each book in the series features different lead characters, and their stories stand on their own, but characters crossover into each other’s books and knowing their backstory adds depth to the story. This second book is Jasper Kohlmann’s and Lyndee Gibson’s story, and it is a story that captivates your attention and tugs at your heartstrings the entire time. Jasper is a chef and the kitchen of Burgers & Brew is his domain, and he takes his dishes seriously, creating gourmet burgers and sides. He is tough to work for because he expects perfection, he reminds me of a celebrity chef who is always screaming at contestants competing for prizes and a chef position. He is the type of person you hate to love and love to hate, and he could definitely be a jerk, but he is a good friend to those close to him and has some redeeming qualities. When he sees a former classmate, one he butted heads with, is opening up a bakery across the street, he jumps to the wrong conclusion and almost proved to be the ultimate jerk, but had second thoughts about his actions. Lyndee and her younger brother, Dustin, who she helped take care of growing up, moved to Stewart Grove for a fresh start, pursuing her dream of owning and running her own bakery. Jasper stops in her bakery, Sugar Rush, to see what was up with her, and while he still held a grudge about losing a baking competition, she thought nothing of it. The one thing that was for certain was the chemistry between them, it was electric and undeniable. Any tension between them gets broken when Dustin jumps in and asks for help, and the other guys from Burger & Brew offer their help, too. It was great to watch Jasper and Lyndee first fight the chemistry and then give in and get to know each other better. Lyndee has not had it easy lately, but she is determined to get her business off the ground, and her brother is there to help the best that he can. There is never a dull moment in this book, and the story has the perfect balance of drama, angst, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. The writing, plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. Lacey Black, thank you for another wonderful story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 Lexi Evans and Scott Rose did an amazing job voicing these characters, humanizing them with their personality and were believable in their roles. Evan was fabulous in Lyndee’s role and delivered a perfect portrayal, sweet, determined and fierce, and Rose was just as fabulous in Jasper’s role, with angst and attitude, as well as his caring side. Both were fantastic performing the roles of the secondary characters too, including Dustin. They set the right tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These two made a great team, with voices and talent that complement each other and an entertaining performance that takes the story to another level.

My father really outdid himself this time. If he wasn’t already the worst, his newest demand surely gave him that title—if I wanted to take over the family company, I needed to get married. Within the next six months. He thought he had me right where he wanted me… that I’d marry one of his lackeys. A man who’d keep me in line with Dad’s vision for both me and Parker Industries. Revisado: 04-11-25
This is a fantastic small town romance and a banging start to Piper James’ “Red River Romps” series, a series of standalone novels with each book featuring a different Perry brother. The first book is Ryder Perry’s and Annabelle Parker’s story, a story that grabs your attention right from the start and holds it captive the entire time. Ryder and his brothers moved to Red River, Texas, to renovate the old house they inherited, and while Ryder was picking up lunch for them, his truck gets rear-ended by a snarky, rude, uppity driver who tries putting the blame on him, even though his truck was not moving. Annabelle was not having a good day and was not at her best when she went off on Ryder and texted him an apology later. She works for her father and hopes to take over running his company when he retires. Despite all the hard work she has done, he added a stipulation, a marriage clause, in order to take over the company she needs to be married in six months and started arranging dates for her. Not liking his choices, she said she’d find her own husband and after running into Ryder again, she comes up with a plan and it includes him and a proposition. These two jumped to their own conclusion on what the other was really like and the reason Ryder said yes to her offer, but stuck it out with her for another. I enjoyed this multilayered story and how it all plays out with a balance of drama, angst, witty snark and dialogue, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Piper James, thank you for another wonderful story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 Melissa Green and Jarman Day did a fantastic job bringing the characters to life and delivering a perfect portrayal of each. Green nailed it as Annabelle, grasping all aspects of her personality and demeanor, from her fierceness to her vulnerabilities and all in between, also handled her angst and snarky dialogue effortlessly. Day was just as fabulous as Ryder and showcasing his personality and demeanor perfectly, as the swoon worthy character he was. Both were great performing the roles of the secondary characters, giving each their own voice and personality, making it easy to follow along and tell who was who. They set the right tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. A sexy, small town, grumpy sunshine, single dad, sports romance from USA Today Bestselling Author Willow Aster. I fell in love with his little girl first. From the moment nine-year-old Becca Fox and I hugged, it was like we’d known each other forever. Precocious, sweet, and kind, I just knew this little girl was exceptional. Her dad, though? Not so much. Bowie Fox checks every box in the looks department—rugged, intense, and the kind of man who makes you forget how to breathe—but his personality? About as warm as a snowstorm.

Revisado: 04-10-25
Wow, this wonderful small town, grumpy sunshine single dad, sports romance, warms your heart and puts a smile on your face. It isn’t a secret that Willow Aster’s “The Single Dad Playbook” series is one of my favorite series, a group of mostly singles dads who play on the same professional football team, the Colorado Mustangs, and get together to let off steam and share tips, not just in single parenting, but some share other wisdoms, including relationship advice. Each book features a different member of that group and this fourth book is Bowie Fox’s story, a single father of the sweetest nine-year-old of daughter, Becca and the grumpiest of the group. Poppy Keane is fairly new in town and became friends with some of the player’s wives and has met Bowie and Becca, who she adored and bonded with. She takes a liking to Bowie, too, but he wasn’t the friendliest and she figured he wasn’t interested. Bowie built an impenetrable fortress around his heart after his ex broke it, and he doesn’t want to bring anyone into his and Becca’s life because her mother leaving left a big absence in their lives, especially Becca’s and he super protective of her and does not trust easily. Things shift for them at their friend’s wedding and the two wind up sharing a bed, and what starts as platonic ends with anything but. The chemistry between those two is undeniable and smoking hot, but he continues to keep his walls up, and they do the friends only approach instead. Poppy is amazing with Becca, understanding her special needs, and they develop a wonderful relationship, which helps with warming the ice around Bowie’s heart. When Poppy finds out she is pregnant, she doesn’t know how Bowie will handle the news and is not sure how to tell him, but does it in the best way, lol. I loved how everything played out in this book, with the perfect balance of drama, angst, charming and heartwarming moments, witty dialogue and banter, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Also loved the moments with the single dad, the shared camaraderie amongst them and hearing them share their playbook entries. Willow Aster, thanks for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 J.F. Harding, Samantha Brentmoor and Lily D. Moore were the perfect cast to bring these characters to life and their portrayal of them was incredible, giving each their own voice and was believable in every role. Harding nailed it as Bowie, super grumpy on the outside, but super protective and warm with Becca and those close to him. Brentmoor was a natural in Poppy’s role, showcasing her personality perfectly, from her insecurities to her caring side, including her bubbly positivity and encouragement with Becca and the kids. Both were fantastic performing the roles of the side and secondary characters too. Lily D. Moore was fabulous in Becca’s role, and her performance added so much to her character and the story. The pacing and tone were just right for the story, and they handled the witty banter and dialogue effortlessly and with ease. You could feel how much heart they put into their performance as they captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. Revisado: 04-08-25
Deborah Garland never ceases to amaze with me with her brilliant and creative mind, bringing me into her stories, taking me into the incredible world she creates right alongside her amazing characters. There is never a dull moment in her books and once I start, nothing else around me matters except what is going to happen next in the book, escapism at its best. This third standalone of the “Astoria Royals” series is the mafia princess of the O’Rourke empire Shea-Lynne O’Rourke’s and her bodyguard Trace Quinlan’s story and I loved every moment of their journey and catching up with the O’Rourke family and being introduced to the Quinlan family. The O’Rourke’s let Shea do her own thing and was not involved in any of the family’s businesses, but they never left her unprotected. After some drama with her former guard, they assigned Trace to cover her, knowing they could trust him to keep her protected. Trace wanted to do more than protect her, he wanted her and not just in his bed, which would be a big no-no in their mafia world, where marriages are mergers and business deals, though her family left her alone so far. Shea’s boyfriend gives excuses why he hasn’t divorced his ex-wife yet, but she remains independent and continues to focus on her career and growing business. A drunken night in Vegas was what it took for Shea to let her guard down and let Trace have her, except she doesn’t remember what happened and Trace had to leave on family business, and reappears three years, wanting Shea more than ever. Feisty Shea gives him a run for his money and it was great to watch the chase. I loved all the layers to this story and how it all played out, with non-stop drama, angst, twists and turns, thrilling and suspenseful moment, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. I can not get enough of these O’Rourke’s and am looking forward to what comes next for them, the Quinlan's and the incredible mafia world. Deborah Garland, thank you for another amazing story and wild ride.
🎧📚🎧 Michelle Sparks and Joe Arden were amazing at voicing the characters and performing an accurate portrayal of each. I loved how they owned their roles, sounding believable and just as I imagined the characters to sound, accents and all. Arden’s Irish is a treat to the ears and so was his take on Trace’s role, showcasing all sides of his personality and demeanor perfectly, from his possessive alpha, touch her and die, to his caring and loving side with Shea. Sparks was just as fabulous in Shea’s role, also showcasing her personality perfectly, from her insecurities to her strength and determination, also nailing her feisty wit. Both were fantastic performing the roles of the secondary characters too. Their tone and pacing were just right for the story and they captured all the characters’ emotions, having you feel them all. These versatile voice artists are passionate and entertaining storytellers who keep you glued to the story from start to end.

Incredible Story & Narration🎧Gripping & Profound!
Revisado: 04-03-25
J.R. Tootill pens another amazing “Omega Security” series novel, and it is fantastic, a military romantic suspense that captivates your attention the entire time and tugs at your heartstrings too. I am loving this series and as much as I want to say it just keeps getting better and better, it would not be fair to the earlier book which are just as fabulous, and to get the best of the incredible world building it is best to enjoy the books in order written. The Omega Security team, former military operatives and agents, continues to grow, and this fourth book is Charlemaine “Charlie” Morgan’s and Rourke Clarke’s story, which began ten years earlier when they first met while serving in Iraq. The two had a fling back then and had feelings for one another, or so Charlie thought, but he upped and left without a word in the middle of the night and it isn’t until years later that they meet again, when Rourke joins Omega Security and puts his own team together. Rourke has worked with the members of Omega in the past and has made appearances in earlier books. Charlie and Rourke’s reunion was not exactly a friendly one, but the one thing that was for sure was the feelings they still harbored for one another. Hearing Charlie’s backstory and what she endured before coming to Omega was gut wrenching, and so was her struggle with her inner demons and PTSD from the trauma, but she had the strength to leave a terrible situation. It was great to watch Charlie and Rourke reunite and rekindle their love and the fire between, but there is never a dull moment in this book, with new operations in the field, operations gone bad and then Charlie’s past coming back to haunt her. I loved all the layers of this story and how it all plays out, with plenty of drama, angst, some action, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Like the first three books, the writing, plot and world building are incredible, as are the character growth and development. J.R. Tootill, thank you for another amazing story, the wild and emotional rollercoaster ride, too.
🎧📚🎧 Raven Rose and Joe Arden were fantastic voicing these characters and performed each role brilliantly, embodying their personality and delivering a spot on portrayal. J. Saman’s “Boston’s Irresistible Billionaires” series has become one of my favorites, and it is great to be back in the amazing world she created and spend time with the equally amazing characters. This fifth book is Wren Fritz and Jack Kincaid’s story, an enemies-to-lovers, best friend’s younger sister, workplace romance, an original multilayered story that captivates your attention, tugs at your heartstrings and humorous moments that make you laugh. Their story starts out magical and with a bang at a masked ball, he a villainous vampire and she Cinderella, a drink with magical powers, an instant connection and a steamy encounter. When the masks come off, not only do they realize they know each other, but he just took his friend Owen’s younger, off-limits sister’s v-card. Cinderella did not get her fairytale ending that night, though she was happy to be rid of her v-card, not happy with how Jack, who she crushed on for the longest time, reacted. Of course, they run into each once in a while, and are like oil and vinegar, never mixing, never getting along. Then they both wind up back in Boston, working in the same hospital, with Jack as her boss, a disaster in the making, maybe, maybe not. Jack has been fighting off his feelings for Wren, but it is getting impossible to ignore his attraction and the undeniable chemistry between them. These two are something else, and it was great to watch them navigate their new situation, and then see their relationship morph into something so much more. I loved how everything played out in this book, with the perfect balance of drama, angst, charming humor and witty dialogue, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. As usual, the writing, plot and world building are incredible, as are the character growth and development. There are so many exceptional moments in this book, and what Jack did for and with Wren to deal with her fear and inner demons warmed my heart. There are some great side/secondary characters in this book and series too, you can not help but to love those Fritz. J Saman, thanks for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 Samantha Brentmoor and Teddy Hamilton knocked it out of the park with their amazing performance with character voices that were fitting for a perfect portrayal of each. Brentmoor was a natural in Wren’s role, grasping all sides of her personality, from her vulnerabilities to her fierceness, and Hamilton did the same as Jack and was just as amazing in his role. They were fantastic performing the roles of all the side/secondary characters, too. Their pacing and tone were right for the story and they handled the witty dialogue effortlessly. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they capture all the characters’ emotions and have you feel each one. These two are entertaining storytellers, and their performance captivates your attention and keeps you glued to the story.
