Historia
Susan Fowler was just twenty-five years old when her blog post describing the sexual harassment and retaliation she'd experienced at Uber riveted the nation. Her post would eventually lead to the ousting of Uber's powerful CEO, but its ripples extended far beyond that, as her courageous choice to attach her name to the post inspired other women to speak publicly about their experiences. In the year that followed, an unprecedented number of women came forward, and Fowler was recognized by Time as one of the "Silence Breakers" who ignited the #MeToo movement.

Gifted writer and reader at telling her own story
Revisado: 02-19-20
Whistle Blower by Susan Fowler and performed by her on audiobook is heartrencheningly wonderful. Her book is a necessary accounting of how women in technology are mistreated. If it seems like she had it worse, it’s because she stood up.

Drizztless
Revisado: 12-16-19
Fun short story. The opening scene woke me up, but the rest of the story was cliche heroes with cliche dialogue. I came for R.A. action scenes which didn’t disappoint.
No Drizzt.

Historia
Danish countess Karen Blixon, known as Isak Dineson, ran a coffee plantation in Kenya in the years when Africa remained a romantic and formidable continent to most Europeans. Out of Africa is her account of her life there, with stories of her respectful relationships with the Masai, Kikuyu, and Somali natives who work on her land; the European friends who visit her; and the imposing permanence of the wild, high land itself.

Wish it was the UNabridged version.
But this version although short was well written and very well read. Makes me want to listen to the entire thing. I feel parts of the story are missing - lol- because they are ;)

Historia
Comedy superstar Mike Myers writes from the (true patriot) heart about his 53-year relationship with his beloved Canada. Mike Myers is a world-renowned actor, director and writer and the man behind some of the most memorable comic characters of our time. But, as he says, "No description of me is truly complete without saying I'm a Canadian". He has often winked and nodded to Canada in his outrageously accomplished body of work, but now he turns the spotlight full-beam on his homeland.

Historia
At the age of 22, Jennifer Worth left her comfortable home to move into a convent and become a midwife in postwar London’s East End slums. The colorful characters she met while delivering babies all over London - from the plucky, warm-hearted nuns with whom she lived to the woman with 24 children who couldn't speak English to the prostitutes and dockers of the city’s seedier side - illuminate a fascinating time in history.

Weak threads
Revisado: 07-31-17
Great story telling doesn't make up for mediocre research and understanding of history. The first tell is Jon Ronson calling this The Butterly Effect. No effort is demonstrated to confirm which are local effects and which are trends. Ronson demonstrates a naive understanding of the history of the Internet and is happy to tell the narrative that he has become personally involved in.
