Historia
Hannah has a routine. Wake up, take a shower, go to school, go to work, come home, and pass out. It's a perfectly normal routine for a perfectly normal girl who does not have to remember how her limbs work every morning because of haunting nightmares of being a very different creature in a very different world. That's all she thinks they are—nightmares—until one night, they're all too lucid, and her body on Earth starts to change. Slowly, Hannah's humanity starts to slip away... but surely she can continue just sticking to the routine, right? It'll be fine. It has to be.

Almost every sentence is a question?
Revisado: 02-04-24
The sentences have a lilt at the end that makes almost everything she says a question. That's beyond annoying. I've tried reading it twice because I really wanted to know what was going on. Once I got to the opinions on religion, I gave up. I don't want religion in my fantasy. The writer controls what's in the book. Having a teenager who is unsure of everything she says rant about religion made me regret taking a chance on this author. It's like putting your opinion on whether you're a Democrat or Republican in any fantasy/sci-fi. Such a big no-no. Let people choose if that's what they're ok with the synopsis. I returned this book.

Historia
Classes evolve, roles shift, and in the city of Liscor, change is happening. The Horns of Hammerad are growing as adventurers, rising in the eyes of the city and the surrounding lands. They've survived, and they've leveled, but new levels also bring new problems. Izril is still facing turmoil as nobles fight and squabble while Liscor breathes again and heals, trying to find a new way forward. The best cure for dark days? Games! And none know it better than the oldest adventurers, who've lived through countless struggles.

My goodness! They keep getting better!
Revisado: 11-24-23
It's not often that I read a series that doesn't start to repeat itself. Pirate's writing has been steadily improving with each book. I want Arren to meet the General. That's my only complaint. It's taking forever for that to happen. I just know it's going to be epic. The narration is perfect. Keep em coming.

Sydney spent his time playing all the real-time strategy games that he could get his hands on. While in the middle of one of the biggest games of his life the world seemed to come to an end. Waking up in a strange world as something called a Dungeon Core with more than a few things around him that would be happy to kill him, he begins work on building his defenses while learning about the world. Luckily for him, his new form's abilities happens to be exactly like the strategy games he loved back on Earth. He was a pro then, he would be a pro again.

Interesting take on an overused theme.
Revisado: 04-20-23
I have no idea how this dungeon is going to progress. For that alone it's worth reading. I had to speed up the narration by 1.10. It changed his grumble mumble into a up beat read. It's not a slow book and shouldn't be read as one.I wanted to say something about the narration so that it doesn't keep people from giving this book a chance. I will update when finished.
edit: What Where How and Why. What happened to him? Where is he? How does the system work? The Why is so many questions that I don't know where to start. Answers I Need Answers! Was there a prequel that I missed? There is no world building. Do some world building. The concept is original.
This is the first book in. I'll try the second book with my fingers crossed because I want to see an information dump about the first book happens. It's okay if I have to read flashbacks. I like what you're trying to do. I will try to finish the first book before the second one.

Of course, if there were only one thing under Liscor, there would be far less to fear. However, the dungeon continues to be a threat. At the same time, Goblins continue to roam northern Izril, but not all of them are as hostile to people as Tremborag or the Goblin Lord. Will the Unseen Emperor of Riverfarm make that distinction, however? A reckoning is coming as old faces and new reemerge. And all the while, The Wandering Inn is still serving food and respite and even plays to adventurers and Antinium alike. But something is coming from the dungeons. And it—they—are hungry.

Revisado: 12-07-22
These books are consistently good. The world building is next level good. My only complaint is that I hate having to wait for the next book. Andrea Parsneau is amazing!
If anyone has complaints about the repetition of emotions and thoughts. I say that is a very small part of the book. On the whole this series amazing!!

Historia
In the year 2243, the Moon belongs to the dead. The largest graveyard in the solar system, it was the perfect solution to the overcrowding and environmental problems that had plagued mankind for centuries. And the perfect place for Cali Washington to run away from her past. But when a mysterious meteor crashes into one of the Moon’s cemeteries, Cali and her fellow Caretakers find themselves surrounded by a terrifying enemy force that outnumbers them more than a thousand to one. An enemy not hindered by the lack of air or warmth or sustenance. An enemy that is already dead.

FUBAR MOON!!
Revisado: 11-13-22
This is a horror movie where people die and you enjoy the carnage. Every bad decision possible is made by people so inept that it's amazing. During moments when they should be running or planning how to survive they have long conversations about their past or flirt.
I understand that these are just ordinary people thrust into extraordinary circumstances but they're ability to screw up everything that they try makes this book unique.
I've enjoyed the threshold series so far and this book is like watching a building on fire where people keep running back in to get things until they burn up. I can't look away.
I recommend it if you enjoy watching bad horror
Movies(like myself). You will laugh and shake your head in wonder.
Thank you for another great book!

Revisado: 07-08-22
This series is addictive. A rare gem in a sea of mediocrity. The combination of game, story line, and narrator is as good as it gets. The world building has a sense of realism that makes the series read like something that is actually possible. Color me impressed. The only problem I can see with this series is the length of time I have to wait for the next adventure.
Carl's journey needs to be 2 levels in one book.
Or put out 2 books at a time. I know this is unlikely but a girl can dream. I'm waiting impatiently for the next book.

Awesome read!!
Revisado: 07-29-21
This isn't one that has a lot of stats. I'm okay with that. Some authors use those in place of a plot. It was slow at first. Then picked up steam. The first book was a little shaky. The narrator paused at really weird times. I felt like it was missing a prequel. A lot of questions were left unanswered in that one. But the actual story is incredibly interesting and fun! Worth the read.
The second book is really good. The narrator got a rhythm going for quirky Ben. Some important questions where addressed. I'll be looking forward to the next one. Good job!!

Historia
On the night of the blood moon, I get my memories restored and learn that I'm not human - I'm the Goddess of Pain. And the men who tried to kill me? They just might be the loves of my immortal life. But what's an "I love you" compared to an assassination attempt? Someone paid these men to kill me, and if I don't find out who this person is, I'll lose everything and everyone I ever loved. But they underestimated me. I don't just endure pain - I make it. And the people who tried to hurt my family? They'll suffer for what they've done.

Overall okay
Revisado: 03-11-21
This book started off with an interesting mystery. Unfortunately it turned into Debbie does Dallas. I know it's a reverse harem but the whodunit part had real potential. The sex was forced in half way through in place of the mystery.
Maybe the book should have been abit longer so that the story and the nookie could have gotten equal attention. I don't mind reading a longer book. I've got two hours left and can't seem to finish this. The main characters are stuck in some kind of mating heat like animals. Sigh...
I think this author has the potential to write a pretty good mystery/thriller. I'll keep an eye out for future books.
Narration was really good.

Supervillain books are way better. Main character is truly a very young teenager with all of the faults you have at that age. Constantly getting into trouble with wild mood swings. Nothing special.
The world building was excellent as usual. All of the other characters were extremely interesting. Too bad the book wasn't about one of them. I still think the author is very talented and will try his books in the future.
