All 5 of the books in this series are incredibly good! Usually by book 3 in a series this long I am bored, but not with this one! Kept my interest the whole way through. Definitely in my top 5 of all time and something I will listen to again. I loved learning the back stories in the postludes rather than trying to squeeze them into the main story.

Bearing witness

The Bearing ladies are back and working with the police to solve unsolved crimes involving missing persons. This one is a boy that has been missing for 30? years and a woman missing for the same time.
The story was good, Henry’s part was sad but quite interesting.
I have read all MK Turners books and they always keep you guessing!
I hope we get to see more of the detective developing his “gift” and want to see where his predictions go in the next book.
The narrator was not great (sorry!) a lot of the voices were so similar I wasn’t always sure who was speaking and the 17 year old boys sounds like 6 yr old children.

greed, guilt, revenge…

Was it guilt, revenge or just greediness? Tune in for yourself to find out! I don’t want to spoil the story for you so won’t go into much detail.
As a devoted M&H listener I found this one to be a great addition to the series and am looking forward to the next one!
It was not quite as convoluted as some of the others have been so I kind of had a pretty good idea where it was going, however there were still some surprises.
“Loopy” is becoming one of my favorite characters so I hope to see more of her in the the future.
Kudos to MK Turner and Lee Beddow for their great work.

An Unexpected Gift

This is the 2nd book in the Bearing Witness series. As always there are some twists and turns involved to keep you guessing. Overall it was very enjoyable to listen too.
Bridget must solve a case of a missing person. She gets her reluctant daughter, Margaret and grand daughter, Angie to help. With only their “curse” to guide them they have little to go on but as things become more clear they find some surprising info and are off and running.
The police on this case seemed to be unable to resolve anything back when Theresa first went missing many years ago and the current ones involved are not much better- crucial evidence is left at a crime scene, potential witnesses are not looked into.
But then I guess there would be no cold case for the ladies to work on.

I Love this series!

I really enjoyed finding out all about Meredith in his early days.
Even though I’ve listened to all the other books in the series this one filled in a lot of blanks.

Interesting book

I enjoyed this book. Just how long have aliens been here?! Gives you something to think about.
Jennifer Fournier did a good job. Both author and narrator were new to me and I’m looking forward to more from them both.

This is one of my favorites! I loved having all the main characters together again.
Isolated in a castle, a murder, a pregnant woman about to give birth, secrets, what more could you want?
Peggy is such a no nonsense person and knows how to take charge and does not hold back- I still think she’s my favorite person.
The family that the story revolves around is quite interesting and any one of them could have been the murderer but which one did it?
Kept me guessing till the end.
I enjoyed Lee Beddow’s performance as usual!

Family Secrets

Another good Meredith and Hodge story. I only gave 4 stars because I found it to be more predictable than the others, however I thoroughly enjoyed it and am looking forward to more of M&H.
Family secrets aplenty in this one. How far are you willing to go to protect your loved ones? Or, to NOT protect them so you can finally know the truth?
And government procedures and the special secrets they have!
Meredith and Hodge are on the case and will not give up till they get the truth!
As always Lee Beddow is fantastic,

This was not my favorite of the series. It was still good but I seemed to have a hard time keeping the players straight. The ending was surprising and I still want to know what happens next.

M K Turner is my new favorite author! I absolutely love this series and all the characters. Peggy was a wonderful new addition that I thoroughly enjoyed.
The twists and turns really keep you guessing to the very end.
Lee Beddow does a great job and will forever be the voice of Meredith to me.
I am anxiously awaiting more Meredith and Hodge!
