Historia
The case is a macabre, ritualistic murder—a teen-aged boy from a wealthy family whose body was found without a drop of blood left in it. But the murder is just the start. A high-ranking executive and daughter of one of the richest men in Spain is kidnapped, a crime which is tied to the previous murder. Behind them both is a hidden mastermind with even more sinister plans. And the only person with a chance to see the connections, solve the crimes and successfully match wits with the killer before tragedy strikes again...is Antonia Scott.

I read the book. watched the series listened to 2 versions of Audubon. I see why some found it difficult to follow. i had to restart it a few times until I realized I needed to listen with more focus. it's more complex than it seems. at first read/listen . very much enjoyed the narration.

Fan...but cinfused
Revisado: 11-14-21
Darnell went from rapper to southern, many Brooklyn accents, very hard to follow. good story as always.. dealing with serious problems with a sense of greater purpose and humor. the humor is missing.
I can only guess a new voice director made the narrator change voices established in prior 19 books... OOPS needs to find the stolen voices

Revisado: 03-06-21
I enjoyed this... good story, real characters, and the ties that sound these people together was thought provoking. The underlying theme sneaks up on you if you are older than 50 but sees through generations. I think I will carry this story in my heart for a bit.

Historia
Frances Wynn, the American-born Countess of Harleigh, enjoys more freedom as a widow than she did as a wife. After an obligatory year spent mourning her philandering husband, Reggie, she puts aside her drab black gowns, leaving the countryside and her money-grubbing in-laws behind. With her young daughter in tow, Frances rents a home in Belgravia and prepares to welcome her sister, Lily, arriving from New York - for her first London season.

Historia
This wasn’t the plan. Judge Herman Calvert, 88, never thought he’d outlive his beloved wife, Marie. Yet now he finds himself alone, a grieving widower, desperate for escape from the home they built together, where every turn brings a painful reminder of his late wife. So the judge retreats to his lake cabin in rural Wisconsin, a place where an old man can find peace and solitude. A place where nature can take its course. But something new has moved in.
