Shifting perspectives

Loved it. The feeling of dread and anxiety during Tallulahs chapters was like a heavy blanket. It really needed both Kim’s sympathetic pov but especially Sophie that was a little more “distant” and read like a detective. Incredible performance by the narrator, especially Scarlett’s and Zach’s voices were so convincing and overall just a super engaging and competent performance by the narrator.

Historia
After Lucy is found wandering the streets, covered in her best friend Savvy’s blood, everyone thinks she is a murderer. Lucy and Savvy were the golden girls of their small Texas town: pretty, smart, and enviable. Lucy married a dream guy with a big ring and an even bigger new home. Savvy was the social butterfly loved by all, and if you believe the rumors, especially popular with the men in town. It’s been years since that horrible night, a night Lucy can’t remember anything about, and she has since moved to LA and started a new life.

Pacing was so good, story was engaging from start to finish.

Excellent! I couldn’t stop listening! The unreliable narrator and the podcast episodes interspersed with the Lucy pov chapters worked so well. The voice “acting”/narration was stellar. I thoroughly enjoyed this. The pacing and the length were perfect for this type of story. Never dragged on, never felt myself losing focus. I’ve recommended this to just about everyone. 5/5!
