Very interesting spin on current events. You know how some people you click with and some you dont. This narrator for me was just meh. Now dont take that the wrong way because he did a genuine bang up job, many different voices and very good range. Its most because i cant tolerate listening to anything slower than 2x and at that pace he and i are not a good fit. If i slowed it down a little it was perfect pitch and sound but then my mind wanders. So dont let my hangups dissuade you from listening to what is otherwise a well done tale about current events.

Loved it

This is the second title i have listened to narrated by Michelle. A great story can be decimated by a narrator not up for the task. Michelle took a great story and delivered it wonderfully. As with any book listen tot he sample first. Michelle has a good southern accent, at lest to my ear. The wonderful thing about that is it is a fantastic add to the story and not a detractor as it can be. For the genre she is golden.

Yes I loved it
Revisado: 02-06-23
This is the 3rd book in the series but by no means feels like it. It continues the story but also stands on its own. If you followed either or both of the other books its a great finish. Personally love the sci-fi, anime, demonic twists, but maybe its not for everyone. When i started the series i had no idea what to expect than was greatly and pleasantly surprised at the turn it all took. Loved every bit of it.

Since we last saw him, Ben has been pulling double duty–dog walker by day, demon slayer by night. Toby assists in the latter, growing more violent with each kill. Dogs can be domesticated, but an inugami's murderous instincts are not easily suppressed.

Fantastic followup
Revisado: 02-06-23
Dog Walker was a great book. Dog Walker II is even better. Its a sequel that is worth listening too. More action, great continuation of the first book. Its more of the fun of the original with a denser story. Really did like both, looking forward to hearing what 3 has to offer.

Historia
Nothing says Texas like a drive-thru liquor barn. If you've ever driven through one you know it's floor to ceiling liquor. It's like a museum. It's an awe inspiring collection of scotch, beer, whiskey, brown liquor, blue liquor, creamy white liquor, hard stuff, girly stuff, and mixed drinks. The bartender came to my car with a tray full of Styrofoam cups. Each had a sliver of clear tape across the straw hole. I thought, is he kidding? A piece of tape?

Quirky, wholesome and fun
Revisado: 01-26-23
Its really great being exposed to something I would not have otherwise chosen. This book of what is effectively many short stories, is engaging and because i could relate to many things funny. Authors style is much how my brain works IRL so i quite enjoyed it. Narrator made listening fun so much so i basically listened to the entire book in one sitting. Now I listen at 2x so was just over 4 hours but i did really like it. If im being super critical, there were a few audio edits, where most probably audio was added that were a bit distracting. I suspect that most wont even notice but my critical ear did. Does not take away from book just an observation. Did 100% love this one.

This was a first listen to this genre for me so take it was a grain of salt. Its a quick but meaningful listen. Can tell the author is new but very passionate about the story. Honestly feels like there was a personal take but when isnt there in any great story. There is definitely some sleeping talent that i cant wait to hear as it grows and evolves. In a weird way it felt much longer than it was. Usually one feels this way when something drags on, however that wasnt the case with this one.

Dont judge a listen by its cover
Revisado: 09-09-22
Full disclosure i received a code for this one, Not the first or the last and has no bearing on this review.
As title says, I did judge this one by the grade school artwork on the cover initially. Didn't expect much from it and wasn't at all surprised on how it started. So much info so fast it was chaotic. For the initial listen i was thinking this was going to be painful. However, great writers have a way of tugging at all sorts of emotions. It didn't take very long for the story to settle and my desire to keep listening to peak. As the story continued, way out, to before to back to present i found myself laughing inside, The jabs at current day world issues as well as science is thrown in fantastically. If your a Big Bang Theory, Archer, Family Guy, American Dad, fantasy enthusiast, you will enjoy this one on the quick whit relatable puns alone. I ended up enjoying the hell out of this one so much so that i am very much looking forward to the release of book 2. If your on the fence and enjoy fantasy mixed with relatable reality done in a fun and engaging way, This book will be a hit.
