Thought I'd take a chance because the book sounded light and fun. It was light but it was way too thin on character development for some of the major "twists" that come at the end of the story. Yep, I listened to the whole thing thinking that it would get better. It didn't. What a shame.

Great listen for anyone helping to raise boys and nurture their scholarship. I'm a high school teacher and used this book in my design and implementation of an ongoing writers workshop in my classroom and have been astounded at the enthusiasm of the students as well as the volume and quality of their writing since taking Mr. Fletcher's words into consideration. My young men and women have benefitted from my use of strategies from this book.
