Historia
After 26,000 years the Void Wraith have returned. The Eradication has begun. Mankind’s outer colonies are disappearing. Without warning. Without a trace. Fleet command chalks the attacks up to pirates, but Captain Dryker of the UFC Johnston isn’t buying it. Humanity cannot stop them. Not without help. Captain Dryker’s only hope is to forge an alliance with mankind’s greatest enemy, the savage Tigris. One maverick captain, an unlikely crew, and an aging vessel are all that stand between humanity and the Eradication.

Just a great epic story!
Revisado: 11-28-23
The character development is good with multiple characters growing and maturing throughout the length of the series. The only criticism, is the story needed wrap up so many story lines the ending felt a little disjointed. All in all exceptional story and well worth a credit!!!

Historia
Reidon Ward will become a god. He doesn't know it yet, of course. Reidon was born weak, sickly, and small. Afflicted with a painful disease and abandoned by his parents because of it, he has had to fight tooth and nail for every minor advantage life has allowed him. However, his perseverance has not gone unnoticed, and when the most powerful artificial intelligence in human history takes an interest in him, things began to change quickly.

When do we get the book in the series?
Revisado: 02-14-23
This is book has had me completely hooked. Luke Daniels is one of my favorite narrators and he is masterful in bringing each character to life. I have appreciated the author's use of foreshadowing. If you are paying attention, you are a given opportunity to recognize when something is coming up in the story, but the characters have enough complexity that what is going to happen exactly isn't given away. I am definitely looking forward to the development of Ward in the upcoming book. I also would like to thank the authors for a book of extended length and story.

Historia
The Ibarra Nation holds Roland prisoner. The armor soldier’s fate lies in the hands of the inhuman Stacey Ibarra. Roland will face the truth behind the Ibarra rebellion and decide if his loyalties are to Earth or his ideals. While the Iron Dragoons recover from their last battle, dark forces are at work. Gideon is called as a witness to New Bastion, where the treaty that opened the stars to humanity may force all-out war with the Ibarras or turn the rest of the galaxy against Earth.

Joint ventures?
Revisado: 03-28-18
Mr Fox again brought me a hero whose ideals lead his actions. And I enjoyed the narrative around the hero’s conflicts, both internally and externally. I am not interested though in spying, whose on whose team and such. Clive Cestler and authors like are not my cup of tea. Daniels performed to his high standard and when the next book becomes available I’ll be there with my dollars to say thank you for a good story that I can lose myself in.

Historia
We were fighting on the wrong side of a war we couldn't win. And that was the good news. The Ruhar hit us on Columbus Day. There we were, innocently drifting along the cosmos on our little blue marble, like the native Americans in 1492. Over the horizon come ships of a technologically advanced, aggressive culture, and BAM! There go the good old days, when humans only got killed by each other. So, Columbus Day. It fits. When the morning sky twinkled again, this time with Kristang starships jumping in to hammer the Ruhar, we thought we were saved.

HAL meets his match.
Revisado: 03-31-17
What did you love best about Columbus Day?
I read a lot of Space Opera and I think Alanson has found a unique method of differentiating his writing from many others through the AI Skippy.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Skippy is the best character in the book and brings together the give and take of friendship, the incredible use of technologies yet to be evolved, which all good Space Opera must have, all in shape of a Coors Silver Bullet can.
Which scene was your favorite?
Alanson creates an opportunity for humanity to demonstrate that humanity's cleverness isn't easily created, replicated, or imagined no matter how many pedabytes of memory an AI has.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
A beer can called Skippy.
Any additional comments?
As a reader I appreciated how Alanson created an AI that needed a friend more than it needed control, and it was the development of Colonel Joe's relationship with Skippy which kept me wanting more and purchasing book 2.
