Historia
Henshaw Tarley has been subdued, and New Valley is now all mine to develop! My plans are clear. First, I need to secure alchemical ingredients for Cynthia, my resident alchemist, so we can start making and selling potions. Second, I must find a wand maker to broaden the range of items we offer in the shop. Then, there's the issue of that magical tattoo parlor I want to set up… For that, I will need someone to teach me the basics of tattooing so I can gain a rank or two and make full use of my new ability.

Good.. but I might have to drop it
Revisado: 02-21-25
I love the story and am a big fan of crafter MC’s but I can’t take much more of this noble classism cycles. The nobles do the craziest things and make terrible decisions being mean to literally everyone and barely helping in the plans letting Art do all the work. Immediately after they lecture him on how stupid and peasant like he is after literally doing all the work for the team. Art will stand up for himself for a second and then rolls over and agrees that they’re his betters accepting the criticism that doesn’t really add up, It keeps happening constantly when he’s in the right! Great story, But this how half of the conflicts get resolved, continuing to build this feeling of inadequacy for Art then him giving up. Just Frustrating.

Honestly, Great!

I was waiting for a while for this to come out and am very happy with it and also sad, not expecting this to be the final book. It didn’t take long to become attacked to everyone in the Jake’s new life and it was an awesome adventure to read about. I’ll admit I got a little sappy near the end but how couldn’t you. I also want to say I appreciate the addition at the end giving us a last little glimpse of Jake’s Magical Market. And If J.R Mathew’s happens to read this, thanks for the awesome story! And if there are any companion novels in the future I would love a peak back at the lives in this world again.

Really good!
Revisado: 01-27-24
I have some mixed feelings about how it ended, the story overall was great I binged this series pretty fast and maybe it’s just cause I can’t immediately start the next one but how everyone ended up kind of left off a bad taste and finished on a pretty somber note, I know it creates more issues to resolve but I can’t help feeling bad for our guardian friend. I’m still a big fan and look forward to next book in this series.

A good listen.. but keep with it
Revisado: 08-25-23
I see why the first two were bundled the together. After finish the first book I was very hesitant on continuing on because of how it ended. As as I like magic based MCs but this was different in a good way. If you finish the first one and are infuriated with the ending I get you but things somewhat resolve themselves in the second book and made me want to start the third.

I just found this series and it’s amazing! I just finished book four and I’m still hooked. I like the concept of the books being a year at school and then an adventure out in the world, it keeps it fresh while she can still improve everywhere. Excited to start book five!
