Historia
Ensign Andrew Dahl has just been assigned to the Universal Union Capital Ship Intrepid, flagship of the Universal Union since the year 2456. Life couldn’t be better…until Andrew begins to pick up on the facts that (1) every Away Mission involves some kind of lethal confrontation with alien forces; (2) the ship’s captain, its chief science officer, and the handsome Lieutenant Kerensky always survive these confrontations; and (3) at least one low-ranked crew member is, sadly, always killed.

fun story
Revisado: 07-29-24
a really fun story that is unfortunately really held back by Will Wheaton's performance. if I were able to keep characters straight I think this would be much more fun. read but with everyone's learning the same it's pretty hard

Historia
When you discover the world is a computer program, and you figure out that by altering the code you can time travel and perform acts that seem like magic, what can possibly go wrong? Pretty much everything. Just ask Brit, who has jumped around in time with such abandon that she has to coexist with multiple versions of herself. Now, Brit the Elder finds that her memories don't match Brit the Younger's.

frustrating
Revisado: 03-02-24
the whole conflict in this book is never even shown to be a true conflict and it's just people deciding to make things a problem. it's rather annoying. I really like this series but this book sucks

Historia
September, 1940. Three women of the Checquy, the secret organization tasked with protecting Britain from supernatural threats, stand in the sky above London and see German aircraft approach. Forbidden by law to interfere, all they can do is watch as their city is bombed. Until Pamela breaks all the rules and brings down a Nazi bomber with her bare hands. The three resolve to tell no one about it, but they soon learn that a crew member is missing from the downed bomber. Charred corpses are discovered in nearby houses and it becomes apparent that the women have unwittingly unleashed a monster.

a must read for any LGBTQ+ person or ally

this book does a wonderful job showing how the LGBTQ population is completely natural and maybe even a little more natural than heterosexuality

heartwarming and delightful!
Revisado: 03-15-22
This book is so good it made me write my first review. I started this with no idea what it was about, I just picked it because it was the next book my partner was going to read so I knew it was LGBTQ and probably fantasy. I started this when I was anxious and depressed, and this book really helped pull me out of it. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in lightheaded fantasy that was over 12 or less if their parents are ok with a brief (one sentence) and technical discrimination of what sex is and the B-word. I will be listening to this again soon!... maybe now

Bad attempt to seem less transphobic
Revisado: 12-06-20
This book had a chance to be good and represent trans people as full people that are just normal people but it fails hard. He included “non-binary sex” in this as tho that means he is including all people while it really fetishized the trans community even more. There is a trans character but only a side character use for the chance to for him to say he was wrong for questioning someone’s gender in ready player one. Also the book sucks beside all that.
