Revisado: 12-13-24
Wasn’t sure i wanted to read a historical story but Amy Harmon did it again with her intriguing story and characters based on true events and historical people. Loved the story and the narrator was fantastic. So glad Amy added her authors note at the end. I highly recommend reading or listening to this story.

Great complexity in story and characters and a really good narrator. I had planned to only listen while at my two 1 hour appointments each week until it was done but i got hooked and couldn’t put it down. Listened to the whole book in 4 days! Will start another in the series now

Fantastic story
Revisado: 08-14-21
This is the first Amy Harmon story I’ve listened to and i must say i loved the story and narrator. 450 pages/16 hours of listening. It is a strong medieval story with complexity, fantasy (power of ruins), good vs evil, strategy, angst and romance. I didn’t know it was the second in series so I’m excited to get the first.

I like the story-lots of intrigue and excitement and complex characters-some you hate and some you love. Action and romance. Loved the author’s voices -especially Carl. He a good job with women too. I recommend listening to it.

Not what I expected
Revisado: 01-18-19
Interesting story but way too many character timeline jumps. Very hard to follow. Not predictable so that was a plus. Nice introduction to the impact of 9-11 on American Muslims and archeology.
