Historia
Yuval Noah Harari's 21 Lessons for the 21st Century is a probing and visionary investigation into today's most urgent issues as we move into the uncharted territory of the future. As technology advances faster than our understanding of it, hacking becomes a tactic of war, and the world feels more polarized than ever, Harari addresses the challenge of navigating life in the face of constant and disorienting change and raises the important questions we need to ask ourselves in order to survive.

Great listening
Revisado: 01-17-23
Great for introspection. Subjective observation-but simply good for prompting thoughts/engaging general conversations. (My opinion filter is from my preferences for AI and historical spy books).

Inspiration to teach students more than cursive
Revisado: 07-08-19
The book and storyline kept my attention all the way through; very intriguing. Additionally, this book highlights some of the reasons why a focus on having students learn cursive is absolutely obsolescent. I really wish we were teaching our students more about encryption and Pen testing.
Furthermore, without spoiling the book, I am saddened, however, that in real life young people go to jail for 63 years of their lives for simply standing next to someone who gets killed in states like Alabama. It makes me wonder how many people actually get away with the murders like those mentioned in this book... living in the backyard of the three letter organizations mentioned in this book leads me to believe that there are probably more people than I might want to know...precisely why this book is good read/listen.

Overall, Informative
Revisado: 06-04-19
Great talent and easy to follow. There are, however, portions that are still culturally relative perspectives. For instance, as a former city-design reviewer, I would attribute circles in our modern American architectural designs [Lowes Foods segment] to the influence of our Native America and African heritage--even North African/Moorish influence by way of the Jesuit priests, who settled on both the east and west coasts. Yes we are a eurocentric culture, but many of the author's conclusions for why things are as they are in the U.S., were interpreted solely through standard European thought processes as a starting AND ending point. Culturally, we have been influenced by many here...and not to exclude the circles of other forgotten Europeans--the Pennsylvania Dutch...

A must read (listen) for any K-12 educator...
Revisado: 01-10-17
The decentralization of education will happen whether society permits it or not. The rapidity of access to knowledge and skills is completely surpassing the ability for institutions to deliver the techniques of learning. While our children lag behind at a 66% illiteracy rate, we worry about teaching them cursive (both of which they can learn by choice in a matter of minutes/hours by asking the connected hivemind and watching multiple YouTube/Lynda videos). It's time administrators of K-12 make a shift in the delivery systems of knowledge! Kelly is right on the mark.
