I am a fan of Steve Martin's previous work.

I found the first and last hour of this book interesting, but getting through the middle was a struggle.

I hate not finishing audiobooks, but I really had to force myself to keep listening, hoping for a payoff that never eventuated.

Whenever the story started to become interesting, Martin pulls his punches - frustrating to say the least. I spent the first 5 hours wondering where this book was going and then how it could possibly get there in the 2.5 hours remaining.

I imagine those in the art world may find this tale of interest, but I was left disappointed.

A great listen and very well read by the narrator. Was not sure what to expect from this title and I was pleasantly surprised.

Full of product placement for Amazon's Kindle, this short story is quite poor, and this comes from a huge King fan.

The basic premise is interesting, but it never really goes anywhere. The ending was frustrating.

I can understand this was commissioned by Amazon to promote the Kindle (you already had to own one to download it though), but I have the feeling this was rushed by King to meet a deadline. The product placement could have at least been more subtle.

Well read by Holter Graham.

The most famous dystopias ever written, this book is incredibly intense. Superbly read by Samuel West. This recording now has pride of place as my favourite Audible title so far.

This audio book is a good introduction to the very basic concepts of Film Composition. Someone who has already dabbled in this area may find this title a little basic and under developed. This is for pure novices only. The narrator's voice did start to irritate after a while.

I enjoyed symbologist Robert Langdon's previous two adventures, but I found this one to be predictable and trying far too hard to be 'clever'. I was engrossed for the first third of the book, the remainder was a struggle. Brown's constant overuse of adjectives and constant 'eureka' moments really started to get on my nerves this time around. 'Angels & Demons' was a great switch-your-brain-off title. 'The Da Vinci Code' was a commendable follow-up. 'The Lost Symbol' felt like an author who had to try very hard, with limited fresh ideas. OK, but not great.

I listened to this whilst on a 15 hour drive across the country. I found it interesting and very well read. I did find myself getting names mixed up and found some parts, mostly in the middle, to be a little hard to follow. That said, and whilst knowing the 'ending', I do recommend this title.

Wonderfully read by the author. This was one of the first few audible books I listened to, and one I'll never forget.
