Overall, the book is good but 70% of the book is puns, dad jokes and characters who cant do anything other than crack jokes. The ending was disappointing, and lacked realistic means that were pre-established in the story line. There was more effort in creating bad puns and product 'marketing' than an actual story. If you are new to Dakota, skip this series and try a different one instead, or start here and work your way to better series as you progress.

I enjoyed the 1st book and got into the 2nd, but halfway thru I forced myself to keep listening. The 3rd book is starting off slightly better.

Dakota, I LOVE your books and most of your series. I really wanted to love this one just as much as some of the others. But it just feels like you didn't make this, you just helped someone starting off.

MacLeod has been a great narrator, and I am getting general disgust for Ruban, so great job on making that character the way he is. My only issue with the narrator is to make sure you know all the names; Gyro is not 'G-i-row' its 'ear-o'. Otherwise keep up the work! I will enjoy listening to more narrations by you.

Overall a freat book and glad to hear it through some of the side quests.

Note to @Fiona, please identify some of the pre-existing pronunciations: mageocracy (ma-jock-raw-c), Turlaman and a few others are already cemented in with 15 other books. unfortunately this should have been caught be the editors as well.

Needs more audio editing for volume

It was a good series but the audio music/effects overpowered the dialogue to the point of turning up to hear them talk and quickly turning it down to not blow out the speakers

A decent end to a good series

While I agree that the consistency of the narrator was a detractor from the story, Luke Daniels did a decent job. I felt that some of the characters were not expressive enough as had been in the past and that drew me away from the story more.

There were 3-4, possibly more, double reads during the book that were blatantly not caught by an editor or team. With both of those items the performance was lacking.

The story was good and followed through from the previous well, you have a few chacters you hate and those that you feel attached too. The character development followed through well. Some characters did not follow their "intended path" like you expect (Brianna) and caused some passionate conversation between the audiance and the stereo.

This was a good book tonfinish off the series, while I believe it is now done. Thank you for the books and performance, it has been a pleasure to get lost in it.

A wonderful "what if" story

Great story that makes you think about; life, empathy, logic, calculations and ethics all while providing a quick direct storyline that was well written and preformed. Great job!

Great continuation of the story

i still enjoyed the next in the series, despite the changes of personality (written) and voice (performance) of the characters within the story. i wish that "Fix it" Felix would remember he can repair thing at a moments notice among other things. i noticed alot of the mains took a back seat to Andria/Adriana/Merriam and a few others. overall it was a great listen and im excited to hear the next in the series.

This book and performance was amazing. So many emotions and expressions conveyed through out it. I couldnt help but laugh, cry, cringe and slack jaw my way throughout the book. I am already downloading the next book great job!

My only critique would be some spots of Amran being out of character: The battle with the guild and the distinct lack of collecting of blood. A few other spots along the way. But still phenomenal performance and story.

WOW!!!

This is a grrat addition to the series and at a great lenght of time too. there are so many tied up loose ends and so many more to come. The next book cant get here fast enough.

Nick does a fantastic job in the narration and I will be searching out more from that narrator.

If you enjoy one book then binging on this series is cake. the only problem is when there is to many distractions pulling you away from this series and you cant stop listening/reading.

Great wrap up to the trilogy.

Creative, captivating, emotional rollercoaster. the performance was exceptional as well, giving extra live and feeling to the characters and situations.


Next time NO music. It drowns out the performance, if you add it make sure its edited properly on the volume.
