Historia
The Jedi are reeling from Qui-Gon Jinn’s sudden death at the hands of a Sith. Jedi Master Mace Windu’s feelings about Qui-Gon have always been complicated, and have not been made any simpler in death. While they often disagreed, Mace valued Qui-Gon’s unique perspective, and their shared dedication to the Force made them allies. Without Qui-Gon and his unorthodox views, Mace feels out of balance. While considering his fallen friend’s legacy, Mace is surprised to receive a final message from Qui-Gon.

A Disturbance on the Crystalline Planet of Metagos
Revisado: 12-17-24
Prominent Characters:
>Mace Windu
>KinShan Nightbird
>Maya-12
>Chulok
Hook Quality: The hook is good, a final message from Qui-Gon and the mysterious planet of Metagos drew me in.
Character Depth: Fair. There is clear character development for Mace and a few others.
Strong Points: The characters introduced in this novel are quite unique and the overarching plot is nice.
Weak Points: Yoda's voice, much better it can be. There are a few scenes where it's unclear why Mace is there and what is the point of the scene.
Writing Style: I must say weak unfortunately. Transitions between scenes and events flow poorly. I wasn't able to get immersed in the story.
Narrator Quality: William needs to work on his Yoda voice, but overall did a good job.

Qi’ra listened to the dreams and promises of a boy with a reckless smile, only to be torn away from him and returned to the White Worms gang while Han made his way to freedom. Now freedom seems like a luxury she can’t afford while she concentrates on survival and despairs of ever leaving Corellia. But her fortunes seem to turn when a representative of the crime syndicate Crimson Dawn plucks Qi’ra from captivity and brings her to the syndicate’s leader, the mysterious and mercurial Dryden Vos.

Qi'ra's Climb to Power
Revisado: 12-09-24
Prominent Characters:
>Qi’ra
>Lady Proxima
>Dryden Vos
>Cerveteri Slane
Hook Quality: Good, the story picks up quickly with Qi’ra’s perspective on her and Han’s parting on Corellia.
Character Depth: Good, the book only focuses on Qi’ra’s perspective, but it does so quite well.
Strong Points: Qi’ra is a very strong willed character, her story of defying the odds and seizing her future is exciting to hear.
Weak Points: The book doesn’t have a strong beginning to middle to end arc. I can’t think of a specific scene that could be described as the climax of the book.
Writing Style: Good, the book flowed smoothly.
Narrator Quality: Olivia did a decent job.

A dive into Corellia's Sewers
Revisado: 12-04-24
Prominent Characters:
>Han
>Qi’ra
>Tsuulo
>Lady Proxima
Hook Quality: Good. The beginning introduces the White Worm gang and the culture/lifestyle of our characters lives on Corellia.
Character Depth: Strong. Our main characters grow and learn a lot throughout the book. We get tidbits of information about Han and Qi'ra's childhoods which is the most detailed Canon Star Wars Media has gone on the topics so far.
Strong Points: Learning more about the planet Corellia was nice given how frequently its name pops up in Star Wars media. It's a ship-building planet that is no longer in its heyday during this book.
Weak Points: The audio editing. The last thing a listener wants to hear is when a character is talking over themselves because of an audio editing mistake. It doesn't last over a minute thankfully, and hopefully gets fixed in the future.
Writing Style: Fair. At a few moments it's a bit too easy to tell what will happen next, but overall it flowed nicely.
Narrator Quality: Saskia did a good job.

Prominent Characters:
>Darth Bane
>Sith Lord Kaan
>Sith Lord Qordis
>Githany
>Jedi Master Hoth
>Jedi Master Valenthyne Farfalla
Hook Quality: Good, action and interesting Backstory filled beginning.
Character Depth: Great, the book is loaded with anecdotes and unique traits.
Strong Points: The story is told well, it humanizes Bane and paints him as far more than some ancient powerful evil Sith.
Weak Points: I find one or two short chapters of the book to be too slow paced. I skip past them when relistening to the book.
Writing Style: Good, lots of anecdotes that flow well with the story.
Narrator Quality: Jonathan Davis does some pretty great Sith voices, he's well matched with this book.

A Heartening Story of Personal Growth and War
Revisado: 11-20-24
Prominent Characters:
>Anakin Skywalker
>Obi-Wan Kenobi
>Mill Alibeth
>Asajj Ventress
>Ruug Quarnom
Hook Quality: Good. I enjoy many Star Wars books with Anakin and Obi-Wan present and it maintained my attention due to that fact.
Character Depth: Excellent. We get to see insights into several of the key characters that are true to their common portrayals but with unique anecdotes and perspectives.
Strong Points: Much of this book takes place on Cato Neimoidia, the home world of both Neimoidians and The Trade Federation. It gives a unique perspective on the people and their culture that goes far beyond the simple “bad guy” portrayal of Neimoidians in The Phantom Menace.
Weak Points: Some moments can come across as a bit cheesy, but it's not too bad. The portrayal of Jedi in this book frames them and how they use the force as sometimes emotional or having “heart,” to me that seems inaccurate.
Writing Style: Good, the story flows well.
Narrator Quality: Jonathan Davis is a good narrator.

Historia
One of the most cunning and merciless officers of the First Order, Captain Phasma commands the favor of her superiors, the respect of her peers, and the terror of her enemies. But for all her renown, Phasma remains as virtually unknown as the impassive expression on her gleaming chrome helmet. Now, an adversary is bent on unearthing her mysterious origins - and exposing a secret she guards as zealously and ruthlessly as she serves her masters.

Revisado: 11-14-24
Prominent Characters:
>Phasma (First Order)
>Vi Moradi (Resistance Operative)
>Captain Cardinal (First Order)
>Brendol Hux (First Order)
Hook Quality: Excellent hook, the book pulls you in fast with a unique approach to story telling. I found it difficult to stop listening.
Character Depth: Some characters seem to develop a lot while others stay static, but it works quite well.
Strong Points: The planet Parnassos, where much of the story takes place, is fascinating. The culture of characters and places the story introduces keeps the story exciting.
Weak Points: Although the story is very much about Phasma, we don’t often get to know her thoughts.
Writing Style: 10/10 The author keeps the reader guessing what will happen next.
Narrator Quality: The Narration is well done.

>Thrass - Mitth’ras’safis

>Jorj Car’das

>Obi-Wan Kenobi

>Lorana Jinzler
Hook Quality: The story starts off fairly slow and with a not yet rebellious Anakin. The book develops well worth the wait later on.
Character Depth: The character development was a bit lacking for some characters.
Strong Points: Thrawn is always fun to listen to and the story overall is quite unique.
Weak Points: There's a few times throughout the book that make you question the plausibility of the scenario in the Star Wars universe. The motives of a few side characters that get swept up in the plot don’t add up.
Writing Style: Slow start but overall a nice read.
Narrator Quality: Marc is a great Narrator.

>Nib Assek (Jedi)
>Elzar Mann (Jedi)

>Affie Hollow (Vessel Crew)
>Leox Gyasi (Vessel Crew)
>Geode (Vessel Crew)
Hook Quality: The start is a little slow in plot but more than makes up for it with early character development.
Character Depth: Exceptional.
Strong Points: I’ve seen these character names in THR books prior, but I felt like I was able to understand them better and enjoy hearing what happened next to each in this book uniquely.
Weak Points: There is some plot armor that is hard to swallow at times, but it doesn’t ruin the book.
Writing Style: The narrative shifts between many different characters, but it does so very smoothly and in a way that keeps the reader's interest up.
Narrator Quality: Marc Thompson is very likely to be my favorite voice actor, he makes the book very engaging.

A Dive into Naboo's Culture and Padmé's Reign
Revisado: 11-13-24

>Padmé Naberrie (Amidala)
>Captain Quarsh Panaka
>Rabé - Rabene Tonsort
>Eirtaé - Eirtama Baillory
>Yané - Suyan Higin
>Saché - Sashah Adova
>Sabé - Tsabin
Hook Quality: Fair. Padmé’s handmaidens can be confusing and complicated in some star wars media.
This book sets their identities and roles straight in a digestible format.
Character Depth: Good. The book does not define how Padmé forged a strong will, but it does show how she learns to wield it as Queen.
Strong Points: It dives well into Naboo’s culture and Democratic Monarchy system without making the book too much about politics.
Weak Points: A few sections of the book directly overlap with The Phantom Menace, these parts are quickly skimmed over and feels like a gap in the story telling.
Writing Style: Good.
Narrator Quality: Good. The narrator is the voice actor of Padmé in The Clone Wars.
