I first read this story more than two decades ago. Loved it then; still love it now. I had forgotten much of the story so a large portion was as if hearing it for this first time. I did remember the intelligence of the Golden and his special relationship with the man. I also remembered it as an excellent read.

The story easily will hold your attention throughout this box set. Great value too by the way. Narrator is superb. No ‘over the top’ violence, excessive language or gratuitous sex scenes. Throughly enjoyable. I look forward to listening to the remainder of this series. Well done!

Another hits the mark

Excellent read! Up to date, relevant and different approach making it fresh. It’s not like reading the same book again with each new release. The fact this author keeps churning out one great read after another without resorting to foul language and gratuitous sex puts him over the top. I highly recommend this title.

Kevin Pierce is in fine form as usual. The good guys win again. While some folks complain of that kind of ending, I won’t. It’s uplifting, particularly these days, to continue to believe in (hope) that good triumphs over evil ultimately. Again, well done.

Very enjoyable listen, well-written, great performance by narrator. A bit predictable but well worth the price of one credit for 4 books.
Very happy there were no zombies, explicit sexual content or excessive foul language. Looking forward for more from this author. Highly recommend.
