Historia
England, 1914. The world is at war. Captain Hastings, injured and shaken, is invited to Styles Court to recover. It’s a grand old country house - the family home of his old friend - and a perfect haven. Or so it seems. But in the blistering summer heat, trouble is afoot. Simmering tensions are tearing the family apart, and it all comes to a head in the most horrifying way.

Peter Dinklage is an amazing Poirot.
Revisado: 12-23-24
Absolutely loved all the performances, but Dinklage was definitely a standout with his performance as the detective. I really hope they make more with him as the lead.

He was 15 when he killed his first man. Before his murderous ways ended, Hardin killed 42 men in cold blood - one, the legend goes, because he snored too loudly. From then on, John Wesley Hardin stayed true to his calling, killing man after man after man, spending most of his life being pursued by both local lawmen and federal troops.

Great western story.
Revisado: 01-10-24
Great for any western fan, and history lover. I personally don’t know how historically accurate the story is, but there’s nothing outrageous in the story. The only real issue I have is I think I would’ve preferred to have been a Third person narrative following Hardin personally, rather than first person from a close friend of Hardin.

Historia
These are not the Avengers or the Fantastic Four - in fact, they're barely even famous - but Rocket Raccoon and the faithful Groot are the baddest heroes in the cosmos, and they're on the run across the Marvel Universe! During a spaceport brawl, the infamous pair rescues an android Recorder from a pack of alien Badoons. Everyone in the galaxy, however, including the ruthless Kree Empire and the stalwart Nova Corps, seems to want that Recorder, who's about as sane as a sandwich with no mustard.

While it may help to be into comics, it’s not required to understand and enjoy this space fairing adventure.

Historia
The grisly serial killings of prostitutes and vulnerable women in Victorian Whitechapel, dubbed by the popular press as the work of 'Jack the Ripper', are the talk of London, and from deep within the smog-ridden slums, yet another piercing shriek is heard. Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John H. Watson are drawn into one of the darkest plots ever to shake the foundations of England. There are freemasons, conspiracies and plots at the highest level of the establishment.

Great performances, terrible writing.
Revisado: 05-05-21
The actors were all great. I have nothing negative to say about them. Whoever wrote the script, however, should’ve been fired. All the interesting, easily found, and readily available information surrounding the Whitechapel Murders, and this is the best you could think of? Seriously?
And don’t even get me started on Holmes’ and Watson’s weird personalities here. Watson is a jealous sidekick, and Holmes is some kind of love sick school boy for some reason. I’m not saying you can’t do different and interesting things with the characters, but frankly these two versions were kind of a drag.
And the whole psychic thing had to be one of the most blatant writing crutches I’ve ever heard. So much of the information she gave could’ve been discovered somehow through investigation, but no, couldn’t be bothered, psychic chick shows up and moans about how her “curse” just gives her all the information needed to progress the plot.

Lots of fun for lovers of classic adventure
Revisado: 10-03-20
Loved every minute of it. The voice acting was good, and the sound effects were well done. My only complaints were no sound effect when a punch hit home, yes I know that doesn’t really sound as loud as movies portray them, but it would’ve been satisfying to hear a nice pop when he hit. Beyond that I think it would’ve added a lot more if there was more cultural styled music for every location when they were there instead of just the orchestra, and oriental music when they’re in Asia. Otherwise still a lot of fun, and will definitely recommend and listen to again while I drive.

Very well done, and informative
Revisado: 09-22-20
The narrator and information is very straightforward, and explained well. I listened mostly while walking or driving and learned a lot. It answered almost all my questions I had about the Templars, and I learned a lot about the Crusades from this. Definitely recommended for any student of history.
