Historia
Set in the mountains of southern Appalachia, Demon Copperhead is the story of a boy born to a teenaged single mother in a single-wide trailer, with no assets beyond his dead father’s good looks and copper-colored hair, a caustic wit, and a fierce talent for survival. Relayed in his own unsparing voice, Demon braves the modern perils of foster care, child labor, derelict schools, athletic success, addiction, disastrous loves, and crushing losses.

What an outstanding novel. The story line, characters, and setting, were all laid out excellent. I could feel the power of the story. This book shows the power of self drive and the desire to protect those we love.

I started listening to this book and turned it off within 10 mins. I thought to myself. I do not like this narrator he is so monotone. I waited about 2 weeks and started it again. I again shut it off after about 30 mins. Thinking to myself this is not Brains best work.
Again I came back to this book and started it all over. I really began to listen.
This is a very strong book. So one needs to be patience and really listen and learn the characters. This book will make you "Think". There is tons of plot twist to keep you on the edge.
I love the way the are several story's happening at once.
So shame on me for not listening to it sooner. Great book, narrator did the different parts excellent and wonderful storyline.

Historia
Winter is coming. Such is the stern motto of House Stark, the northernmost of the fiefdoms that owe allegiance to King Robert Baratheon in far-off King's Landing. There Eddard Stark of Winterfell rules in Robert's name. Far to the north, behind the towering Wall, lie savage Wildings and worse - unnatural things relegated to myth during the centuries-long summer, but proving all too real and all too deadly in the turning of the season. Yet a more immediate threat lurks to the south, where Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, has died under mysterious circumstances....

Historia
Born on a plantation in Charles City, Virginia, Pheby Delores Brown has lived a relatively sheltered life. Shielded by her mother’s position as the estate’s medicine woman and cherished by the Master’s sister, she is set apart from the others on the plantation, belonging to neither world. She’d been promised freedom on her eighteenth birthday, but instead of the idyllic life she imagined with her true love, Essex Henry, Pheby is forced to leave the only home she has ever known. She unexpectedly finds herself thrust into the bowels of slavery at the infamous Devil’s Half Acre.

Historia
Kelly Williams Brown had 700 bad days. Her marriage collapsed, she broke three limbs in separate and unrelated incidents, her father was diagnosed with cancer, and she fell into a deep depression that ended in what could delicately be referred to as a “rest cure” at an inpatient facility. Before that, she had several very good years: She wrote a best-selling book, spoke at NASA, had a beautiful wedding, and inspired hundreds of thousands of readers to live as grown-ups in an often-screwed-up world, though these accomplishments mostly just made her feel fraudulent.

Not really what the title makes you think it is.
Revisado: 08-11-21
I would have to say that I was very disappointed in the book overall. This is just a platform for the author to scream out to the world how upset she was with a election. And she states this in several chapters.
The voiceover was great
The book title is probably correct " easy crafts for the INSANE"
Just not something I would have wasted my money on.
The bashing of people who voted differently that her was very distasteful.
Not a book for me

Historia
The most popular and beloved American historical novel ever written, Margaret Mitchell's Gone with the Wind is unparalleled in its portrayal of men and women at once larger than life but as real as ourselves. Now best-selling writer Alexandra Ripley brings us back to Tara and reintroduces us to the characters we remember so well: Rhett, Ashley, Mammy, Suellen, Aunt Pittypat, and, of course, Scarlett.

Revisado: 10-29-20
This book, just like the original book (not the movies) is so well done. A wonderful ending, to the oldest live story. Don't for one minute think that the movie even comes close to this book. They are day and night.. For lovers of Scarlett and Rhett , this is a must read.
