I need longer books!

I love this series. These people are now like my own dysfunctional family. I just wish they were longer, 12 hour minimum. I also don’t like that reviews have to be as long as an essay.

Oy the name usage!
Revisado: 10-31-24
What I didn’t like is the author names a character, say Joe Smith. Then in one paragraph that person will be referred as Joe one sentence and Smith the next. I don’t understand why Joe can’t just be Joe without thinking another character is involved. If that even makes any sense.

Horrible
Revisado: 10-20-24
The repetition of code numbers drove me nuts. One example of 364246786335688543 would suffice. That and Ted made me want everyone to die and the book be over. I hate that I have to always finish a book.

Historia
The sea off the coast of Spain holds a secret, buried under centuries of superstition. It has a reputation for being some hellish territory, where crews disappear and ships inexplicably drown in its sublime waters. This is where billionaire explorer David Purdue takes his new yacht out for its maiden voyage. He discovers something under the water that sets into motion an ancient Inca prophecy that would apparently open the hidden city of El Dorado.

That was the ending?
Revisado: 08-20-24
I was not expecting the ending, or rather the lack there of. I get it’s a series but there was no inkling that the end to this chapter was even near. The books are shorter, too for the same amount of money. Like they are broken up on purpose to make more money. ( you used to be able to buy a set of three books, each being at least 10 hours long, for one credit )

Awful narration but great story/series
Revisado: 02-24-23
I don’t like the narration of this book. Either that or the writer could tone down Lings hostility. Even the basic question can spur a loud response.

In retreat from a devastating loss and crushing injustice, Katie lives alone in a fortresslike stone house on Jacob’s Ladder island. Once a rising star in the art world, she finds refuge in her painting. The neighboring island of Ringrock houses a secret: a government research facility. And now two agents have arrived on Jacob’s Ladder in search of someone—or something—they refuse to identify. Although an air of menace hangs over these men, an infinitely greater threat has arrived, one so strange even the island animals are in a state of high alarm.

Great story. However for the audio, the narrator should even out the volume as she talks soft and then LOUD when exclaiming something. When wearing headphones, it hurts.
