Not As Good As I Had Hoped

Had a lot of potential but, overall, I think it’s worth about 3-½ Stars. In the beginning it seemed to be building up to an exciting ending, but it didn’t happen. Characters were too predictable and there was almost no action of consequence. However, the audio performance was very good and easy to listen to.

Well-written and full of surprises. Highly recommended, especially the audiobook. This is the best I have read by Mark Edwards.

Another Adler Hit

As usual, Warren Adler has developed a unique plot and presented it with humor and by creating interesting characters for us to live with as the plot develops. As the book went on the reader can't help but to enjoy these characters and their personalities. As a collector of antiques, this story was particularly interesting to me.

Sarah Newby #2 was not only well-written but the plot, with it's twists and turns, was both clever and entertaining. Tim Vicary is fast becoming one of my favorite authors and I will be reading more of his books very soon.

Another 5-Star Thriller from William F Brown

Would you consider the audio edition of Amongst My Enemies to be better than the print version?

I love audio books because the narrator is able to speak with the accents of the various characters and it makes them more alive than a print version. Because much of this story took place outside of the U. S., the accents were even more entertaining.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Amongst My Enemies?

There was no one moment. I enjoyed the story as a whole.

What does Lee Alan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Once again, I enjoyed the various accents he used for the characters.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Imaginative and fast-paced plot will entertain throughout

Mr. Brown, please write another book. I have read all five and I want more!

Joseph Finder Classic

Would you listen to Extraordinary Powers again? Why?

I enjoy all of Joseph Finder's novels, primarily because his stories are all imaginative and fun to read.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

I was always on the edge of my seat because the plot would take unexpected turns and it was fun to guess what would happen next.

What does Christopher Burns bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I loved the various accents he would use - something you could never get by simply reading the book.
