Historia
Naomi wasn’t just running away from her wedding. She was riding to the rescue of her twin. Too bad for Naomi, her evil twin hasn’t changed at all. After helping herself to Naomi’s car and cash, Tina leaves her with a niece she didn’t know she had. Now, she’s stuck in town with no car, no job, no home - and an 11-year-old to take care of. Since Naomi’s life imploded right in front of him, the least Knox can do is help her out. And just as soon as she's out of trouble, he can get back to his peaceful, solitary life. That’s the plan, until the trouble turns to real danger.

I personally found it boring, kept waiting for a surprise to happen but the plot was ehhh. Felt it could've been better.

This book was cringy in my opinion. Loved the first one, second one was okay, but this one just ehhh. It was draining. It started out pretty interested, but also felt like too many twist/turns. Pips character changed a lot also and I didn’t feel inspired by her in this one.

Historia
You're not good enough. How many of us internalize this belief before we even reach adulthood? How many of us feel unworthy and unable to live up to what seem like impossible—yet-completely—arbitrary standards? Where do these toxic beliefs about ourselves come from? And who told us there is a way we are "supposed" to be anyway? With passion and compassion, Caroline J. Sumlin reveals the force that keeps all of us, whether we are part of a marginalized group or not, from freely expressing who we are as image bearers of God: white supremacy culture.

Really enjoyed this book. I found it informative and helpful. I also love the journal prompts at each chapter, great questions to ask ourselves. So much to relate to in this book.

Couldn’t put book down
Revisado: 01-31-23
This book is a little intense but really great! Was really interested on the cousins story and how they will overcome the unfortunate obstacles in life. There was also some nostalgia moments from the 80s-90s, enjoyed that too.
