Historia
It has taken many long years and countless sacrifices, but finally Ahriman, former Chief Librarian of the Thousand Sons, now exile and sorcerer, is ready to attempt the most audacious and daring feat of his long life. His quest for knowledge and power has all been for one purpose, and he would now see that purpose fulfilled. His goal? Nothing less than undoing his greatest failure and reversing the Rubric that damned his Legion.

The Warmaster’s horde advances through the fire and ash of Terra's dying breaths, forcing the loyalists back to the Delphic Battlement—the very walls of the Sanctum Imperialis. Angron, Primarch of the World Eaters and Herald of Horus, has achieved immortality through annihilation—now he leads the armies of the damned in a wrathful tide, destroying all before them as the warp begins its poisonous corruption of Terra's very soil.

Historia
Ahriman, greatest sorcerer of the Thousand Sons and architect of the Rubric that laid his Legion low, continues to walk the path towards salvation, or damnation. Searching for a cure for his Legion, he is forced to consider - was the great ritual somehow flawed from the very beginning? The answer may lie within the mysterious artefact known as the Athenaeum of Kalimakus, a grimoire of forgotten knowledge that is reputed to contain the exact words of the lost Book of Magnus...or, perhaps, even a transcription of the primarch’s deepest and most secret thoughts.

What a rollercoaster!
Revisado: 04-14-22
One of my favorite Warhammer books, the center of the novel is frustrating to watch plan upon plan fall to ruin but trust me- the end is well worth it!

Historia
The galaxy is in flames. Chaos is in the ascendant across the stars. The Great Rift has split the holdings of the Imperium in twain, isolating entire sectors from the light of Holy Terra. But all hope is not lost. The Primarch Roboute Guilliman has returned from deathless sleep and appointed Commander Dante, lord of the Blood Angels, as Regent and Warden of the newly dubbed Imperium Nihilus. In the Baal system, the shattered holding of the Chapter is being rebuilt, and Dante plans the greatest campaign of his long life, to retake half an empire.

Primaris Medical Drama...
Revisado: 09-21-21
Whole thing is a medical drama about whether or not Mephiston will survive becoming primaris or not. SPOILER ALERT: He does! Judging by the fact that this came out like a year after his new model this should surprise literally no one.
Can't wait to tune in for Darkness in the Blood part 2: Dante Boogaloo to coincide with his new model release!
Have yet to see a single example in the new books of why primaris marines were necessary or even cool, keep hoping they are going to walk it back and just say "hey just kidding, primaris is just a new armor type as an upgraded model that we released because all the new chaos models are a head taller than tacticals and we did not in fact just make the heroes from the past 25 years obsolete" but when they make an entire book about the surgery that possibility seems more and more unlikely.

Historia
After seven years of bitter war, the end has come at last for the conflict known infamously as the Horus Heresy. Terra now lies within the Warmaster’s sights, the Throneworld and the seat of his father’s rule. Horus’ desire is nothing less than the death of the Emperor of Mankind and the utter subjugation of the Imperium. He has become the ascendant vessel of Chaos and amassed a terrible army with which to enact his will and vengeance. But the way to the Throne will be hard as the primarch Rogal Dorn, the Praetorian and protector of Terra, marshals the defences.

Not as good as first two
Revisado: 07-09-20
I enjoyed it, but it lacked the suspense and punch of the first two books. For the uninformed, this novel takes place around 250 years after the first two books in the cantos.

Revisado: 01-31-20
I want to go into intense detail but do not want to spoil the twists for future readers.
Incredible use of foreshadowing leading the reader into a false sense of security and totally unprepared for the gut wrenching twists.
Beautifully titled, beautifully written- this may be my favorite book of the series so far.

Red Sinking
Revisado: 04-25-18
Probably my least favorite of the series.
Three largest complaints being:
1) The deaths of the two most interesting minor characters in the series. At least the novel's title pays homage to their memory as they probably exemplified the best two living examples of the honorific.
2) The Lyria plotline was pointless, her characters entire relevance to the plotline and backstory could all have been rolled into Ephraim's, especially due to the fact that her telling him her entire backstory is already built into the plot and essentially all of her anti-rising sentiments are echoed by Ephraim. The introduction of multiple perspectives introduced 4 novels into a series seemed forced, especially when two of the characters are telling the same mediocre sub-plot that is somehow still unresolved at the end of the book.
3) The resolution of the Apollonius alliance just bummed me out how poorly it was handled, that flawed partnership of necessity had a lot of potential.
On the plus side: Diomedes seems cool, hope to see more of him.
Narration was great as always.
