Historia
What is the way forward for the church? Tragically, in recent years, Christians have gotten used to revelations of abuses of many kinds in our most respected churches―from Willow Creek to Harvest, from Southern Baptist pastors to Sovereign Grace churches. Respected author and theologian Scot McKnight and former Willow Creek member Laura Barringer wrote this book to paint a pathway forward for the church.

This book is challenging and inspiring. A perfect book for those of us who love the church but are discouraged by some of the trends in our current day. I found it very hopeful

I loved seeing the author's personality come through and really appreciated all of the application exercises. I hope to become a more curious person and a more effective curiosity advocate in my workplace and personal life. Thanks Scott for being so vulnerable!

Historia
Current discussions about Church Planting Movements (CPMs) and Disciple Making Movements (DMMs) employ numerous terms not found in Edwards’ writings. Yet the Lord has not changed, the Bible has not changed, and the gospel has not changed. Edwards’ incisive and edifying analysis contains numerous insights that have endured through the centuries. The wisdom we glean from Edwards’ comments on the awakening of his time can shed helpful light on current discussions about movements taking place in our time.

I Learned a lot

I was challenged afresh to be more open minded to the works of the Holy Spirit, even if they are surprising (which they often are)! The narrator was a bit sleepy in some parts.

Historia
For too long, the term insubordination has evoked negative feelings and mental images. But for ideas to evolve and societies to progress, it’s vital to cultivate rebels who are committed to challenging conventional wisdom and improving on it. Change never comes easily. And most would-be rebels lack the skills to overcome hostile audiences who cling desperately to the way things are. Based on cutting-edge research, The Art of Insubordination is the essential guide for anyone seeking to be heard, make change, and rebel against an unhealthy status quo.
