Fun! Simple and light. Well balanced on the emotional aspects of the characters. Believable enough to enjoy!!

It took me a while to get into this book but once I did, it was worth it! The heroine's devotion to doing the right thing and the hero's determination to see things through helped me hang on too.
I will give another one of her books a try.

It's okay. I would not waste the time or the credits if you have something else to listen to.
Standard rebellious girl out to prove to her family and the world that she does not want or need them! She is wrong, as they usually are! The heroine's opinion of the females who choose a more traditional role in her society is simply, disdain!
The basically hopeful ending is only mildly satisfying. I went on to the second book and wished I had not!!!
Don't bother! Read the second half of Wuthering Heights instead.

After the first book "STRAY", I thought I would give Vincent one more chance to earn my approval. She disappointed in the biggest way!!
I have no problem with a strong heroine who has a mind of her own and wants to do her own thing but the author goes too far with her extremes!! On one hand you have the females of their society who embrace the HONOR they are given and they are seen by the heroine as weak, mindless, and without ambition. Then because of their weakness they are victimize in such brutal ways, while the heroine is still smart enough not to be victimized as far as the others. On the other hand, the heroine is adored by a man who has proven over and over that he loves her and is devoted to her but she continues to push him away because she doesn't want to be under the authority of him or any other man!! What an unhappy selfish brat she proves to be!!! Making the male characters out to be neanderthals is foolish!
It is with disgust that I finished this book! I almost couldn't stomach the effort! What a waste of my time and money on this one!!!
I can only hope that Ms. Vincent isn't of a similar character with this heroine! If so, she has my sympathy! I am a Daughter, Wife, Mother, and a business owner. My husband loves and respects me and supports my business efforts.
