Historia
Five hundred years ago, magi created a weapon they couldn’t control. An infestation that ate magic - and anything else it came into contact with. Enemies and allies were equally filling. Only an elite team of non-magical humans, known as sweepers, can defuse and dispose of infestations before they spread. Most die before they finish training. Laura, a new team member, has stayed alive longer than most. Now, she’s the last - and only - sweeper standing between the city and a massive infestation.

A stunning story that begs for a sequel
Revisado: 12-01-18
City of Broken Magic is a fantastic production. The depth of the world creation is stunning. There is multiple cities, mythology, languages, religion, etc. The story is extremely well crafted. Despite a 14 hour listen time, it kept me in rapt attention and never felt like there was any fluff in the story. In fact, it feels like the story is far from over. Many of the story arcs were resolved, but there is still one huge event that demands a sequel. I can't wait to hear more from this author!

Awesome, Colorful Story
Revisado: 11-15-18
At first I was a bit hesitant about a book containing zombies. However, there wasn't any gore and everything worked together to weave a wonderful story. I especially liked the way the old and new were weaved together: shamans and ancient cultural rituals existed right alongside first person shooters and Wi-Fi. The overall storytelling was amazing.
My only critique is that initially the structure of the book confused me. When the first two stories ended abruptly, I figured it was a collection of short stories. However, it turns out that these two stories are weaved into a third, much longer story. I love the way these stories were melded, but I wonder if it could have been done differently.

Great mystery and characters
Revisado: 11-03-18
Running from scissors was an awesome story and I enjoyed it immensely. Although I guessed aspects of the plot, I was still very surprised at the end reveal.
The characters were funny and memorable. There were several moments that had me laughing, one of which corresponded with me drinking water, and nearly resulted in disaster.
I highly recommend this and look forward to future installments of the series!

One of the Best
Revisado: 10-07-18
This one of the best books I've heard. While I'm not sure I would listen to it again, it is an extremely moving story. There are high triumphs, very dark evils, and an overall theme that will stay with me for quite some time to come.

Wow, What a Fun Ride!
Revisado: 12-10-17
This was such a fun journey! The story starts off as a fun mystery thriller, but once the supernatural gets involved, the story takes some unexpected directions. The narration was amazing. There were so many fun and memorable voices, and I really felt immersed in the story. I excited to listen to the next book in the series!

Heart Warming Story
Revisado: 12-05-17
I'm probably not the target demographic (35 year old male), but my sister recommended this book to me (who also happens to be the narrator), and I've been a huge fan of all of her work.
I'm not accustomed to the genre (like I said, not the target demographic), but I found the story endearing and it reminded me of many of the same emotions I felt when I first met my wife (and still have years later, lol)
If you are interested in the genre, this might be a good first book for you :)

Riveting Story, Amazing Performance
Revisado: 10-16-17
The story had a perfect mix of intrigue, action, romance, and humor. It had me constantly on edge (I earned the marathon badge while listening). Natalie's performance was amazing! I look forward to more installments in this series.
