Revisado: 11-04-24
This was a bit slow moving but the writing & narration were gorgeous. More HF than horror vibe. I wanted more vampires.

A fun visit to 80s childhood!
Revisado: 09-30-24
I was unfamiliar with this book & the series but listened to it for a children’s classics read with a book group & really enjoyed it. Apparently it’s banned but I have no idea why. Anastasia is a delight & I will read/listen to the other books in this series.

Powerful & Moving
Revisado: 07-14-24
Read this book for a summer reading challenge & I’m so glad I chose the audiobook. Excellent narration that made the powerful & moving story come to life. This isn’t an easy listen but the tale is so skillfully told. It will be one of my best for 2024.

A great second book in the series
Revisado: 02-29-24
An overall solid second book in this spinoff of the author’s Rockton series. This one involving the kidnapping of a young girl boy at Haven’s Rock & upcoming changes for Casey & Dalton. Solid narration from Therese Plummer. The only bad part is waiting a year for the next one.

Another Suspenseful WW2 Novel from Kate Quinn
Revisado: 02-11-24
I think this is at least a 4.5 for me so rounding up to 5 stars. Quinn writes suspenseful WWII fiction so well & I was completely caught up in the story told from three characters’ viewpoints. The narration was excellent too.

Cute Series Holiday Listen
Revisado: 12-28-23
I missed this one & listened to Book 3 before going back for Adam & Sarah’s story. It was cute although I think book 3 is my favorite. These are good quick holiday listens-perfect while running errands or doing holiday stuff.

Historia
Christmas comes early—far too early—to McCredie’s little Old Town bookshop in Edinburgh. It’s summer, but an American production company has decided that McCredie’s is the perfect location to film a very cheesy Christmas movie. After all, who can resist the charmingly narrow historic street with its Victorian grey stone buildings and warmly lit shop windows? Carmen Hogan, the bookshop’s manager, is amused and a bit horrified by the goings-on, but the money the studio is paying is too good to pass up.
