Historia
Eventually, all wallflowers will have their chance at love...this is where it begins. Lottie Hughes likes people, as long as they aren't too close. Does it bother her that no one asks her to dance? Yes, but she's not sure how to drum up dance partners when she has almost no dowry and no title, and freezes up when anyone tries to talk to her. Ellen might be beautiful and considered a diamond of the first water by Society, but she is so very tired of the pressure to marry a titled gentleman. Charlotte Winters is destined to spinsterhood until she turns down an unwanted proposal.

This is a fun collection of stories. I love overarching theme of wallflowers being the main characters.
THE WALLFLOWER'S DANCE by Jen Geigle Johnson
I really liked Lottie and Denny and seeing them try to figure out what they really meant to each other. The ending was really adorable. I think it'd be really cool to have a sequel that featured Denny's sister, Grace.
LETTERS TO A WALLFLOWER by Heather B. Moore
The wagers and bargains in this story made for an interesting plot. I didn't love the writing style, but it did have what I think is the best exchange of the three stories:
"Oh, what's more important than finding a wife?"
She was teasing and it made him laugh. "Sheep."
That just cracked me up.
TO MARRY A WALLFLOWER by Anneka R. Walker
I really liked Charlotte and Luke from the get-go! They both just seemed really kind in their own quiet ways and just perfect for each other. I enjoyed their story quite a bit and the style was lovely.
This is a nice collection of clean romances sure to make readers smile and maybe even swoon a little.
The narration by Shane East and Shakira Shute is excellent! Very, very well done!
I read and listened to an ARC and audiobook provided by the publisher. All opinions are my own.

great collection of stories
Revisado: 01-20-23
This is a great collection of stories!
The Diamond of Bristol by Arlem Hawks has one of the best "meet-cutes" I've read in a while! Derrick cracked me up multiple times as I was reading. I appreciated the levity, as it was a good balance to the more serious aspects of the story.
I thought it was very interesting that in Women of a Certain Age by Josi S. Kilpack the couple in question were older, rather than the younger characters usually written about in these types of stories. I liked seeing Etta changing a bit throughout the story, becoming more willing to open herself up.
A Most Unsuitable Suitor by Sarah M. Eden was my favorite of the three stories. I just really liked both Julian and Charlotte, and they both were well-developed characters even though it's only a novella. I really enjoyed their interactions (I'm a sucker for good banter!) and their chemistry.
Even though the Georgian period isn't my favorite to read about, that didn't detract from any of the stories. They were all enjoyable and I hope I'll find time to re-read them soon!
I quite enjoyed the narrator; she was very pleasant to listen to.
I read an ARC and listened to the audio version provided by the publisher. All opinions are my own.

Historia
Burke Jones began his life as a nameless orphan, dreaming of one day being a renowned doctor with a home and family to call his own. Sophie Kingston, daughter of an influential East Coast family, was destined to be an important and beloved part of Baltimore Society. Life has not gone quite as either planned. Now, living in the home of a family friend, Sophie joins the lady on a journey to the tiny town of Hope Springs in Wyoming Territory. It is unlike any place she’s ever known. And the resident doctor is a mystery as well.

Wonderful
Revisado: 01-12-22
I have loved this series from the first book, so I am thrilled every time a new book or novella is published. This story was just such a pleasure to read--or, listen to, since I did the Audible version. Even though this is a novella, the characters were still well-developed and totally endearing. I love Sophie, with her straightforwardness and her enthusiasm, and Burke, with his goodness in spite of his insecurities. I also loved them together--Burke appreciating Sophie for who she is and Sophie helping Burke to examine who he is and what he really wants most. It was also wonderful to revisit other favorite characters from the series. I just enjoyed everything about this story, and I can't wait for more from this series!
Narrator was excellent!
