Mixed up story/adds things to the story of moses.
Revisado: 10-20-20
add things to the story of Moses and makes him unreal. Portrays him as this mighty man who never doubted God's plan. Adds things to the story of Moses and how Pharaoh behaved. Forgets and omits key factors from the Bible. One of which is God told Moses that he himself would Harden Pharaoh's heart. Portrays Moses as died in some places due to lack of accuracy in storytelling. If you've already read the story you can correct it for your children but don't leave them alone with it because there are lies mixed in with the truth and there is truth mixed up in places. some of Moses's earlier story is inaccurate as far as I can tell. It doesn't keep to the scripture enough for my purposes. I understand creative license but to change the story instead of just helping children understand the story as it is, is wrong. I have loved the other ones so far this one was a surprise. I hope they correct it and fix it later on. There's a place in the Bible that talks about what can happen if you add or take away from the Bible and so I am surprised that this is even a thing here. 😳 Read it for yourselves first!

Hearing the writer speak ill of aligory truely struck me as odd as the books full of it. Besides that ive enjoyed the book. Bit of a downer./ downturn there at the end in the personal notes of writer but without them its an amazing book in my opinion and so much better than the movie. Read the book first and youll never miss out on the true image of the written story. They butchered and outright changed the story to fit an eviler naritive for tje character gandalf and such.
Read more amazing and big books! Or at least own them so if you ever wanted to you could! 😁 ❤️

No mention of the way he could be saved.
Revisado: 07-10-20
Its a classic so i get that it was written to show case an aspect of the human condition but given its time frame i would be lying if i told you i expected the kind of ending you get here. The idea that he was helpless makes sense but to not bring truth other than this as the end is a lie and this was probably not commonly read amongst those who aspired to go the other wayand knew about Jesus' salvation of human kind. It sounds to me a take on ordinary man. Perhaps this is an example of simple truths bringing themselves right back to the end. Perhaps he didnt learn anything transformatory about jesus or God seeing as most of the time he was in bed sick as a kid and they may have been under the burden of catholicism and not Jesus' burdens which are light.

Revisado: 10-28-18
Pop this on and cruise w kids to bond over things in this book.
Learning together and explaining big words or concepts accurately.
Not hard to understand and very helpful for my almost 12 year old who has to deal with bullies and adults who are bullies too.
Very good for kids in a joint parenting or Co parenting situation. Very good for adults who may never have heard some or any of this stuff. Just yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Get this book.

I'll be listening to this again.
Revisado: 10-17-18
A thoroughly useful, wonderful, logical, reasonable and a good and warming bit of reasoning.
Helpful, inciteful, touching and dare I say touched by God's "God-ness" presented from a very honest and human in process position.
Putting words to things I've only ever felt.
Really listen.
The search for truth and searching heart are in these pages/chapters.
Very little opinion as far as I can see.
Not all encompassing as far as all truth goes but that's what the Bible is for :)
Loved the well reasoned and small glimpses into what God has given this man of Himself. Beautiful development of a still learning soul. Very refreshing.

Frodo and Sam must continue alone towards Mount Doom, where the One Ring must be destroyed. Meanwhile, at Helm’s Deep and Isengard, the first great battles of the War of the Ring take shape. In this splendid, unabridged audio production of Tolkien’s great work, all the inhabitants of a magical universe - hobbits, elves, and wizards - spring to life. Rob Inglis’ narration has been praised as a masterpiece of audio.

Wonderfully read AND written!
Revisado: 06-27-18
Compared to the movies made by Hollywood the book is much finer and cleanly written. Good is championed over evil. Evil is not well spoken of. Mercy is given and attempted. Light is powerful. Darkness is muttling and confusion, terrifying and ancient in its vile many forms. The fight to go on in the face of the many forms of evil / extreme evil is heroic. I'm buying the books instead of the movies! The movies barely even resemble the beautifully written volumes of this wonderful and engaging tale of Good vrs evil.

Historia
This is not a satire, but it takes a satirical approach to shedding light upon a very dark subject: narcissistic abuse. It is intended to demonstrate to those struggling with codependency just how narcissists actually view them. By listening to their "play book", codependents should be able to recognize covert abuse and avoid its pernicious effects.

Helpful even though it's hard to listen to
Revisado: 11-03-16
It's hard to listen to what is going on in the world of a foolish and narcissistic persons mind.
Their motivations and their uses for the next codependent project to be unfortunate enough to be in their path.
Thankfully Love isn't a single or simple thing.
love is not just that fuzzy feeling you feel. love is also pain on your bottom when you're doing something that's dangerous. love is also what happens when you overcome some evil in your life. love is not why people get married only it is also white people don't treat each other the way a narcissist would and the reason why a co-dependent wakes up and starts treating them self the way they treat others instead of waiting for others to treat them the way they think they deserve. Jesus never taught us to be co-dependent people. that's man's Pride full twist unoriginal freeing message. you probably won't find it in most churches what Jesus originally said because people have theorized and commentary has whitewashed what he said. following people gets you into a co-dependent position following Jesus does not. I can understand how people might mistake religion for Christianity since Christianity husband called a religion in the way Catholics are called religious people. Jesus taught that religion has nothing to do with what you do but it's about who you are. If any man has no love his religion is vain and empty.

everyone has to listen to this!
Revisado: 08-26-16
this is a good book on this subject. invaluable information. helpful narration not obtrusive to listen to. Sympathetic narration. Not sappy or whining. Completely useful everyone should either read or listen to this book at least once in their life. this book has changed my life. One simple note is it is not good at describing the difference between the true self and the false self. there is another one in there that they don't mention possibly because the writer is not Christian. Either way I got a lot out of it and it helped me to understand my experiences with my parents and my experiences with my son. not to mention my ex-husband. So thankful this is on Audible.
