Has some good runs but...
Revisado: 06-03-18
I was looking for a good fantasy novel and this one sure has some nice runs in that department but this is really more of a romance novel. Or maybe not even a romance novel because, well really, if these were real people everyone would be telking her to run as fast as she could.
There is nothing romantic about a guy who is so overprotective with anger issues.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
This is an interesting novel but there are parts missing, and almost an entire chapter at the end. It probably does not make much difference for the story but it makes one wonder how much more is missing.

Historia
Uhtred, Northumbrian born, raised a Viking and married to a Saxon, is a formidable warrior, and he, together with the thoughtful and pious Alfred, Alfred's family, and a few of Uhtred's companions, are apparently all that remain of the Wessex leadership after a disastrous truce. Uhtred still thinks of rejoining his Danish foster brother and the victorious Vikings, but he finds a growing respect for the stubborn leadership of Alfred.

Interesting historical fiction

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I would recommend the book to a friend, though I might recommend reading it for one self.
Did Tom Sellwood do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
Tom Sellwood did an OK job at differentiating between the characters though I would have preferred a performance without all this changing of voices. I prefer to form my own opinion of the characters and when a character is given a voice that I find does not match what I envision myself, it tends to irritate me.
Any additional comments?
The audio cuts off in several places, especially in part 2 so parts of words and even whole words are cut out.
