We long for heroes and have too few. Nelson Mandela, who recently celebrated his 91st birthday, is the closest thing the world has to a secular saint. He liberated a country from a system of violent prejudice and helped unite oppressor and oppressed in a way that had never been done before.

What do the $350 million Ford Motor Company disaster known as the Edsel, the fast and incredible rise of Xerox, and the unbelievable scandals at General Electric and Texas Gulf Sulphur have in common? Each is an example of how an iconic company was defined by a particular moment of fame or notoriety; these notable and fascinating accounts are as relevant today to understanding the intricacies of corporate life as they were when the events happened.

Historia
Now, for the first time, Seth Godin offers the core of his marketing wisdom in one compact, accessible, and timeless package. This Is Marketing shows you how to do work you're proud of, whether you're a tech start-up founder, a small-business owner, or part of a large corporation. Great marketers don't use consumers to solve their company's problem; they use marketing to solve other people's problems. Their tactics rely on empathy, connection, and emotional labor instead of attention-stealing ads. When done right, marketing seeks to make change in the world.

Easy listening which repeats itself pretty much
Revisado: 12-29-18
Buddhism for beginners by Jack Kornfield is a easy, some way even too easy listening. As audio recording from his live seminars, be ready to listen some parts what are repetitive. My personal feeling is that the teachings can be 50% of total time of this book.
Jack is good speaker who know how to tell a story in a great and funny way.

Historia
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities, but in the expert's there are few. So begins this most beloved of all American Zen works. Seldom has such a small handful of words provided a teaching as rich as this famous opening line of Shunryu Suzuki's classic. In a single stroke, the simple sentence cuts through the pervasive tendency students have of getting so close to Zen as to completely miss what it's all about. An instant teaching in the first minutes. And that's just the beginning.

Great listening for beginners
Revisado: 11-08-18
The author Shunryu Suzuki published this book one year before he passed away. Or like he is recommending to use instead of it - “going on”. Shunryu was a monk and teacher who helped popularize Zen Buddhism in the United States and is renowned for founding the first Buddhist monastery outside of Asia. He is not talking about the history of Zen practicing (which is coming from China), but more about how to keep your practicing and mind pure during Zen practice.
