Pretty Interesting
Revisado: 07-28-23
There was a lot to like in this book. I was never really into the pilots of SW, but finally decided to give this book a try. it was a really interesting look at the galaxy post return of the jedi, from regular characters POV. Amazing to see operation cinder like never before and how the fall of the empire afftected people. All the surprise cameos and mentions of fan favorite characters were very cool, and loved the droid therapist! I did struggle with the main characters, only because there were so many new ones (almost game of thrones level) it was challenging to keep track of at times. Overall it was a decent star wars adventure, heavy on starfighter descrptions and characters intros/backstories. Definitely recommend for super fans interested in new republic era.

How to deal with the colonial history of art in museums and monuments in the public realm is a thorny issue that we are only just beginning to address. Alice Procter provides a guide for deconstructing everything you thought you knew about art history and tells the stories that have been left out of the canon. A much-needed provocation to look more critically at the accepted narratives about art and rethink and disrupt the way we interact with the museums and galleries that display it.

What would you give for a chance to live your dreams? For seventeen-year-old Korean American Rachel Kim, the answer is almost everything. Six years ago, she was recruited by DB Entertainment—one of Seoul’s largest K-pop labels, known for churning out some of the world’s most popular stars. The rules are simple: Train 24/7. Be perfect. Don’t date. Easy, right? Not so much. As the dark scandals of an industry bent on controlling and commodifying beautiful girls begin to bubble up, Rachel wonders if she’s strong enough to be a winner, or if she’ll end up crushed.

Revisado: 04-25-21
Everyone should read this book! So many people recommended this book to me and I'm so happy I finally gave it a listen. I wasn't ready for where this book took me! I've never read somthing so emotionally raw and gut wrenching, this is absolutely one of the most beautiful works of art I've ever experienced. I had to take a few breaks because the story was so tragic at times. This is the first book that made me cry MULTIPLE times throughout. I just couldn't believe how perfectly the author captured complexities of love and the human experience.

The Jedi and their traveling companions find refuge on what appears to be an abandoned space station. Good, but the bad guys needed to be bader!
Revisado: 04-05-21
It was good. Solid characters, and great world building. The story was alright. I wanted more from the bad guys. The plant guys were such a cool concept but nothing really happened with them. The Nihil* show up but didn't do much either. I did really enjoy the main character and his development. Very much in the style of clone wars or rebels tv shows. Not bad for easy star wars listening.

Historia
One of the 20th century's enduring works, One Hundred Years of Solitude is a widely beloved and acclaimed novel known throughout the world and the ultimate achievement in a Nobel Prize-winning career. The novel tells the story of the rise and fall of the mythical town of Macondo through the history of the Buendía family. Rich and brilliant, it is a chronicle of life, death, and the tragicomedy of humankind. In the beautiful, ridiculous, and tawdry story of the Buendía family, one sees all of humanity, just as in the history, myths, growth, and decay of Macondo, one sees all of Latin America.

Revisado: 10-02-20
This was a great story. I'm happy I listened all the way through. The narrator was not my favorite. His voice was so monotone which made me fall asleep when I didn't want to. BUT, the story was fantastic. I really loved the last few chapters. If you're looking for an unusual fairy tale I could not recommend more.

To her, the true worth of the galactic relics she discovers isn’t found in a museum, but in an arsenal. This viewpoint has led to a lot of misunderstandings. After her latest plan goes horribly wrong, her roguish ways are on the verge of catching up to her, when suddenly Darth Vader, terror of the galaxy, swoops in with his lightsaber ignited and...saves her life?

Great Performance, but I want MORE!
Revisado: 08-14-20
Voice actors we're PHENOMENAL! I just wish there was more original content. This was pretty much the Aphra comic read aloud with new material here and there (but very little). The performance made me love the character even more. I hope Audible makes another one but with an original story!
