This series of books is really good. Well developed characters in the first book lead to great storylines in the following writings.

NOT as good as the original written version 2003
Revisado: 06-21-19
I was so looking forward to hearing this book, but I was so disappointed after I did. The performance was great, but the story had been cut to shreds from the original one I read in 2003.
Sorry to say I DO NOT LIKE this version. Not impressed with the rewrite. I really don't know the reason the original versions of LA Metropolitan, In A Heartbeat & Entwined Lives were rewritten like this... To say the least I am majorly disappointed. I enjoyed the fact the bad operators, in the original writings, got Karma thrown up in their faces. I also enjoyed the strength of the characters in the original version vs. the timidity of the current characters... SMH.... all I can say is WHY??
I loved RJ Nolan's ORIGINAL way of writing these stories. Wish those would have been published without tampering with the creativity that was clearly shown to begin with. Yes, it may have made for a longer book. Yes, it may have needed to be broken up in more segments, but I still believe it would have been worth it.
Small example: All of the characters build-up became more real and lovable in the original write. (Loved Riley character in the original version / Can't stand her in the published version, just yuck) Very disappointing.
I do believe RJ Nolan is a talented writer and I may check out some of her newer writings in the future, but I really disliked what was done to this series.

One word - FANTASTIC!
Revisado: 05-13-19
I don't usually write reviews, but this one begged for one. It is a very captivating tale. Although it was a slow start, to develop the characters, once it got into the middle of the story it just won't let you go.... Meaning, I couldn't stop listening to it until it was finished. This is one of those books you don't want to turn off and when it's finished, it leaves you wanting more. Love the fact that you can look this up and read the beginning chapter of the next book - and believe me when I say, you will want to. Fantastic Job, Eliza Andrews, PLEASE.... get the Book 2 out soon, I will be one of the first to buy it.

Author is really great on this series; However, not liking the ending on this one..... I feel like there is a dangling thread that needs to be pulled. It just felt rushed and incomplete.
Christine Williams is an excellent performer, and is perfect for these books.
Just have to sit and wait for what happens next.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, fun listen. Love the sci fi story. I've read the next one in this series and I am hoping they produce the audio for the whole set.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Protector of the Realm?
The Red Dragon in action, and the revelation of who the protector really is.
Which scene was your favorite?
Space ship battle scene.
If you could take any character from Protector of the Realm out to dinner, who would it be and why?
The author, because she did a hell of a job coming up with all the characters.

Don't know if the grain was ever found -
Revisado: 04-20-15
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
Anyone interested in a torturous never-ending story that has all the time in the world to listen to it.
Would you ever listen to anything by Wynn Malone again?
NO, I would not. This was a ridiculous book to listen to about a drifter with no backbone or sense whatsoever.
Would you be willing to try another one of Amber Benson’s performances?
I guess she did the best she could with what she had to read. Good grief.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
Not really - the entire book was way too long with a bunch of non-sense people - there were several parts of the book that could be completely wiped out just by using in a sentence
(10 years later). What's bad is I even read the reviews and decided to give this a shot.
My mistake.
Any additional comments?
The characters were too overly DRAMATIC. It really makes you want to yell at the main character to just GROW THE HELL UP. - But no, we are forced to hear about her crap for 13 hours or more. Had she have seen a counselor when she was young - we could have avoided listening to all this dribble.

Not what I was expecting.
Revisado: 11-06-13
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
Kind of stale compared to her other books -
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Could have used a reader with a little more energy - sounded like she was in a bathroom reading from the tub..
Maybe more actions then just the one little excitement at the end.
Would you listen to another book narrated by Betsy Zajko?
Depends on the book.
What character would you cut from Oath of Honor?
Gary....
