Historia
Wyoming's new governor isn't sure what to make of Joe Pickett, but he has a job for him that is extremely delicate. A prominent female British executive never came home from the high-end guest ranch she was visiting, and the British Embassy is pressing hard. Pickett knows that happens sometimes - these ranches are stocked with handsome young cowboys, and "ranch romances" aren't uncommon. But no sign of her months after she vanished? That suggests something else.

I I have no idea why the author did this but he completely apparently left out all the final two or three chapters. a complete disaster I'm probably going to return it

Historia
Viktor Orlov had a longstanding appointment with death. Once Russia’s richest man, he now resides in splendid exile in London, where he has waged a tireless crusade against the authoritarian kleptocrats who have seized control of the Kremlin. His mansion in Chelsea’s exclusive Cheyne Walk is one of the most heavily protected private dwellings in London. Yet somehow, on a rainy summer evening, in the midst of a global pandemic, Russia’s vengeful president finally manages to cross Orlov’s name off his kill list.

Dreadful
Revisado: 09-09-21
I do not believe that I have ever given this author less than four or five stars. That ends now. A convoluted and relatively stupid plot and hours upon hours of attacks on Donald Trump which were not at all necessary to the book. What a sad demise for a great author

What a Disaster
Revisado: 11-24-20
I have finally made it down to the last 10 hours of this 30 hour novel. I am sorry to say it is just plain dreadful.
If you did not already know that this book was written by a woman, you certainly will after the first few hours of hearing about nothing but feelings and emotions and absolutely nothing as far as a really clever investigation. I am one who enjoys novels that include some feelings from the main characters, but this is far over the top.
I purchased this book about two months ago and as I said above I still have a third of the book to go and I’m not at all sure I can do it. It is just not interesting and it is not like the first novels by this author.
I may try to finish it or I may just give up but no matter what I cannot recommend anybody waste a credit on this thing.

Not too good
Revisado: 08-18-20
I feel like a blasphemer saying anything negative about one of his books because I've loved every one of them.
however, this whole story is pretty stupid and we are now getting away from The Bobbsey Twins to weird science fiction fantasy whatever and quite frankly this book is really kind of stinky. a true disappointment.

One book too many
Revisado: 03-10-20
I'm pretty sure I have read all of the books in this series. sadly and I really don't know why, authors after a while feel it's necessary to put their political beliefs into their books. sometimes I agree with those beliefs and sometimes I don't but they always always ruin the book. this one is no exception. sadly it is Chuck full of all kinds of the author's beliefs regarding immigration and law enforcement. it really wasn't a very good plot to begin with and it is almost as though the author chose the plot to fix his viewpoints. sadly this means no more Rosie and Company for me. These authors never learn. they always want to share and I really don't care what their beliefs are because I read fiction because it is fiction.

When Leroy "Chinese" Gordon breaks into a professor's lab at the University of Los Angeles, he's after some pharmaceutical cocaine, worth plenty of money. Instead, he finds the papers the professor has compiled for the CIA, which include a blueprint for throwing a large city into chaos. But how is the CIA to be persuaded to pay a suitable ransom, unless of course someone actually uses the plan to throw a large city into chaos - Los Angeles, for instance?

At an auction house in Bath, England, a large slab of carved stone is up for sale. At the height of what turns into very competitive bidding, there is a holdup attempt by three masked raiders who are trying to steal the stone. They shoot and kill the highest bidder, a professor who has recognized the female figure carved in the stone as the Wife of Bath from Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. The masked would-be thieves flee, leaving the stone behind.

Pretty Bad but Read the review
Revisado: 01-19-20
this book is the exception. the author is very good and I have read probably all or most of his books and they all get at least four stars. This one is just plain crummy. I'm writing this review so that you do not not make the mistake of making this book your first book from this author. Try almost any of the others and you will be very happy. This one... Not so much.

Just Dreadful
Revisado: 11-30-19
15 ratings all 5s? How can you not use a credit especially if you like modern detective or place procedural which I do.
This book is a disaster. It is bad on so many levels. The narration is just incredibly horrible but I can live with bad narration if it’s a good book and this one is not.
Anybody who likes detective novels or police procedurals will be smacking themselves in the head wondering how these people ever became detectives much less considered to be top professionals in their field. They are not.
I am through chapter 6 and unless there is an drastic improvement this book is going back before chapter 7 is finished.
How it got all the five star ratings? Had to be family members. Also, and I never noticed this and I’m not sure it means anything, this book is self published. I wonder if that means no publisher would touch it. If that is the case well I’ve learned something new after almost 20 years with Audible.
Don’t waste a credit and even If it is on sale, don’t buy it.

good, same as always.
Revisado: 08-12-19
enjoyable like most of his novels. this one however had some editing issues and they either forgot the epilogue or they decided not to include one. This is sad because we do not know what happened to several of the characters at the end of the book. anyway irritating but not worth losing a star. I prefer it when the author tries it all up with a nice little bow at the end of the book.
