Historia
Though they've lived their entire lives less than five blocks from each other, Reuven Malter and Danny Saunders exist in very different worlds. Reuven blends easily into both his secular Jewish faith and his typical American teen life, while Danny's conservative Hasidic clothes and appearance make him stick out in any crowd. Their improbable friendship teaches them that the differences separating people through cultures and generations are never as great as they seem.

One of my all time favorite books
Revisado: 03-29-18
I have read this story several times, including reading it aloud to my children. I learn more each time -- it is truly a classic. I listened to it this time with my 14 year old daughter whom I read it to a few years ago, and we pause frequently so I can make sure she understands the concepts. I am teaching this book in my literature class, and have recommended this audio to my students. So many applications to life! Friendship, family, choosing one's path, faith, compassion. So so much to take in and apply to one's own life.

Phenomenal Story
Revisado: 11-14-17
I had read the story before, and I had been encouraging my kids to read it when they reached about 15 years old, but I wanted to go over it again while they read it. So I bought this audio version to listen to while I worked around the house, and it helped me keep up with what they were reading, and helped me talk about it as we processed through the book together. I highly recommend it as a family read with mid teens or older. It leads to amazing discussions! Audible 20 Review Sweepstakes Entry
