Historia
The people of Krynn have known war in past ages. Some are still alive who remember the triumph of good at the conclusion of the War of the Lance. Still more remember the devastation of the Chaos War, which ended the Fourth Age of the world. But now a new war is about to begin, more terrible than any have known. This war is one for the very heart and soul of the world itself.

Narration fail
Revisado: 03-14-20
I am an avid audiobook fan with a 2-3hr daily commute. Having just finished the Dragonlance Chronicles, I wasn’t quite ready to leave the characters that I had come to love and hate. This book could have eased my “separation anxiety” with a plot full of intrigue and treachery between humans, elves, dragons and dwarves but... The narrator’s voice is feminine and childlike with very little change between characters or the intensity of events. The result is a reading meant for children’s bedtime stories. I struggled through several hours and finally had to quit before I fell asleep and drove off the road. This will be the first book I have ever exchanged out of many that have provided me with hundreds of hours listening pleasure.

One mans journey to himself
Revisado: 07-30-18
Initially, I thought this would be an action filled story so I was frustrated by an old man’s cranky ramblings. Thankfully, I kept listening. Sheldon represents all of our pride, dreams, goals, self doubt and disappointments. He tells the story of what it is to be human.

Historia
Rezkin is an elite warrior who aims to restore order in Ashai after Caydean's attack on the King's Tournament transformed former allies and trading partners into enemies. With no army and only a ragtag group of refugees, Rezkin must wrest control of the kingdom from the mad and powerful usurper, who seems bent on destruction, and this may not be the biggest challenge. If he fails, the kingdom will be ripped apart, and Rezkin will have violated Rule 1 - to protect and honor his friends.

It took me away!
Revisado: 05-26-18
This series was addicting for me. The array of characters and Nick Podehl’s talented reading held me spellbound! No pun intended! Although the political musings were sometimes difficult to follow, the voices continued to hold me to the story. Just finished the 3rd book. If there is no 4th yet, I will be lost!! Thank you for hours of amazing distraction!

Not Fair
Revisado: 09-24-17
I loved everything about this story. The characters were so easy to identify with, the narration was enjoyable, the story line sucks you in.... then you realize that the story ends at book 1 for audio book listeners. Not fair.
