Refreshing…
Revisado: 10-02-21
I know “refreshing” may sound a bit strange to say if you have read the description of the book, but it was. Nice change from the typical scenario. Very well written and the MC’s were strong.
I have read my fair share of reviews and hate when anything is given away that happens in the book, so I try to keep my reviews basic.
It is a very good story-no slow parts, some sex scenes(well written), and an overall feel good appeal…even with Death being the main theme lol.
Get this book.

Sutton Spencer's ideas for her life were fairly simple: finish graduate school and fall in love. It would be a lot simpler if she could pinpoint exactly what she should do when she graduates in less than a year. Oh, and if she could figure out how to talk to a woman without feeling like a total mess, that would be great, too. Charlotte Thompson is very much the opposite.

Loveeeeee!
Revisado: 09-06-21
I believe this is my 4th time listening to this book. I just love it. It’s so well written. Light humor, interesting story line, steamy scenes and a happy ending(of course).
I could not think of a better narrator for this book. Lori Prince nailed it completely.

Well, I just don’t even know what to say. The story was ok. Narrator was bad. The ending was not good. I do not recommend this title. Pick one of her other books. They are way better.

Excellent!
Revisado: 08-22-21
For some reason I had this on my wish list for quite some time before spending a credit on it. Don’t be like me…spend that credit now.
Loved the way the story was told. Brilliant idea! The story itself was refreshing. No angst. Drama…yes but it all went well with the story. I laughed out loud numerous times(not at the drama lol) and the combo of Robin Alexander and Lori Prince just make that happen so easily. Lori is a perfect choice to narrate Robin’s books. In reading so many reviews about Lori Prince’s narrations, it is clear that you either love her style or you don’t. I frankly don’t get how someone doesn’t like her style but to each their own I suppose. Her timing is impeccable, her voices are distinct and her seductive voices are just HOT.
Anyway, get this one. It’s totally worth it.

This is my first book from this author and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Good story, good flow and great characters. There was one point where I was a bit put off by a lack of the characters not knowing that the others knew each other(sorry so vague but I really hate giving anything away). It seemed really impossible and I just didn’t like that. With that being said, I really enjoyed the rest of the story. Laughing and even a tear (or three) at one point. Lori Prince is a joy to listen to. She is fantastic with the comedic timing, raw emotions and the sex scenes. She just rocks it all. Kudos to this author/narrator combo!

Natalia Chambers is a successful singer/songwriter whose star is on the rise. But Nat has a problem. She can't seem to write any new music and the pressure is on to write a follow-up to her last record. The fact that her last girlfriend betrayed her and left her with a wounded heart certainly isn't helping any.

I thought it was a very good story. Loved the ending. I laughed out loud numerous times and one time spit out the water I had just taken a sip of. Lori Prince is fantastic, as always. She really is one of the best at perfectly capturing the moment. Whether it is a joke, serious moment, or love scene…she nails it. Give this one a shot!!!

Not one of my favs
Revisado: 08-11-21
I have read my fair share of Radclyffe and this one just fell short for some reason. Keira Grace is not a bad narrator but I think this book needed a different narrator. The voices were too monotone sometimes for some of the scenes being portrayed. Also, if you are at all squeamish about BDSM, you should pass this one up. This certainly would not be a starter for your curiosity.

Torn
Revisado: 08-08-21
Overall I enjoyed the story. I read this first a while back and wanted to listen to it. I really hate to badmouth someone’s work, but I just can’t get through this review without saying that Emily Beresford should NOT narrate romance novels. Just no!!! Maybe she would be good for a thriller/suspense novel or something. She reads everything like it’s a chase scene. A couple of times I was able to tolerate her narration when she actually slowed down and softened her voice but that was rare.
Fortunately this novel is not only narrated by her. Felicity Munroe’s reading as Alexis was well done. The only criticism I have there is that when I read the book I heard Alexis with a less feminine voice. To me anyway, the author gave the impression Alex was more towards the butch side than femme but I guess that is mostly up to the reader’s interpretation.
So if you like Emily Beresford’s style, absolutely get this one. If you are more like me…see her name and cringe…maybe try the third book in this series or just read them instead. I love Diana Kane’s work and highly recommend.

Half a million dollars will be Celeste Thorne’s reward for spending four years of her life in total isolation. No faces. No voices. No way to leave. Since Celeste has never really worried about being alone, the generous paycheck she’ll receive for her participation in the solitary psychological experiment seems like easy money. Revisado: 07-26-21
The story was certainly original. Interesting plot but a bit slow at times, although I think that it is somewhat needed to get this story across. There were a few times I was confused about how much time was passing or had passed. When time was mentioned it didn’t always seem consistent.
I do wish there was more time with them together in the habitat, but considering each frame of mind of the MC’s it makes sense that it wasn’t needed for the ultimate bond.
Abby Craden, of course, delivers again. I cannot say enough about her work. Her talent at really drawing the characters out from the words written is remarkable.
I know there were one or two reviews commenting on not getting enough of Olivia’s back story or her thoughts in general, but you do get it...just not when you wanted it(trying not to say too much here...lol).
All in all it was a good read or listen in this case.

Liked it
Revisado: 07-20-21
Out of the 3 in this series, this was my least favorite. Just letting you know though...I paused many moments before typing that. They all have their good parts and bad parts. Since this is the second in the series, you know the two MC’s from the first book and that makes it that much better.
I am not sure why there are a fair amount of bad reviews or why they don’t like Kate. Sure, I wanted to smack her upside the head a few times but that’s the beauty of it! And quite honestly, until you have walked in someone elses shoes and experienced what they did, you will never know the half of dealing with what she did. Sure everyone deals with things differently....which is exactly the point btw.
I say...read the series in order. Not critical but definitely helps and makes it more enjoyable. Besides, Abby Craden is the narrator. Pretty sure I have a slight crush on her.
