Historia
In 1977, Claire Lake, Oregon, was shaken by the Lady Killer Murders: Two men, seemingly randomly, were murdered with the same gun, with strange notes left behind. Beth Greer was the perfect suspect - a rich, eccentric 23-year-old woman, seen fleeing one of the crimes. But she was acquitted, and she retreated to the isolation of her mansion.

Suspenseful!
Revisado: 02-24-23
The Book of Cold Cases has everything a book needs a good plot, suspense, mystery, and a little bit of thriller. The book had me on the edge of my seat as I tried to figure out where Simone was leading me. I highly recommend this book. I finished it in a couple of days!

Historia
Tamsen Donner must be a witch. That is the only way to explain the series of misfortunes that have plagued the wagon train known as the Donner Party. Depleted rations, bitter quarrels, and the mysterious death of a little boy have driven the pioneers to the brink of madness. They cannot escape the feeling that someone—or something—is stalking them. Whether it was a curse from the beautiful Tamsen, the choice to follow an experimental route West, or just bad luck - the 90 men, women, and children of the Donner Party are at the brink of one of the deadliest adventures in history.

Slow Burn Thriller
Revisado: 10-29-22
The story's plot is a slow-burn thriller, with some parts putting you on the edge of your seat. As I progressed towards the end of the book it started to pick and got more interesting but the cliff hanger at the end made me want more and left me rather disappointed. Overall, it’s a good book but I was expecting more action-packed scenes especially with it involving folklore and mystical creatures on the Oregon Trail.

Slow Burn Thriller
Revisado: 09-09-22
The plot was interesting, but it took a while for the characters to be developed into the storyline. At first, I was confused about where the story was heading, but at the end, it started to pick up, so I continued listening and finally understood the author’s motives for writing this thriller.
