Historia
In God Don't Play, trouble comes a woman's way just when she thinks she's finally got it all figured out. Annette Goode couldn't be happier with where she is in life. She has a good job, a comfortable home, and a wonderful husband and daughter. But tough times lie ahead. Out of the blue, Annette begins receiving anonymous hate mail and threatening phone calls. It seems her life isn't as settled as she thought, and demons from her past surface in unexpected ways.

Drawn out and boring
Revisado: 02-26-25
What compelled me to write this review more than anything else is the fact that I could hear the narrator chewing and swallowing throughout the book. I have never listened to an audiobook where the author has done that and it made it hard to concentrate on the already unnecessarily long story.

Historia
The world of 16-year-old Niara Saunders just reached maximum overload. If one more family secret revealed itself, she just might scream. How much reality could one girl take? She wasn't starring in her own teen documentary where drama guaranteed high ratings and unlimited Access Hollywood exposure.

Did not stand the test of time
Revisado: 12-12-24
I ordered this book because I remember reading it as a teen and enjoying it. I have recently began to reread books from my childhood and this one unfortunately did not stand the test of time. It was also impossible to really get into the story bc this a story about a young girl in Philly and the person reading it has a thick British accent. I guess it's a good cautionary tale for pre-teens but definitely not one of those books you will go back to and remember fondly.
